Chevrolet C10 283 V8 1966

General description : A+ RESTORATION, 283 V8, AUTO, FACTORY TACH & CLOCK, PS, PB, SHOW QUALITY, WOW!!

What you want in a custom vintage truck is power to spare, terrific paint, and cool features. That's why this 1966 Chevrolet C10 has your eye, and as you keep digging, the details tell you this is one cool cruiser.
The paint package is what really makes you fall in love with this truck. And while you might be infatuated with it under our showroom lights, it looks even better in person. That's because there was a serious investment in a recent professional respray. It gives the two-tone red with white accents the kind of luster that will give this pickup a nickname (we're thinking Cherry Vanilla.) And while the fleetside beds feel like a rarity from this period, this one is a standout amongst standouts. Finish quality is quite nice, with good gaps, smooth panels, and an overall look of quality – something that is tough to find in a vehicle whose siblings were used up as workhorses. The chrome bumpers and aluminum grille shine like mirrors because they are new pieces, and the rest intricate trim is complete and shines just as brightly. In fact, it has so much brightwork that this Chevy has as much appeal as a '66 Impala – and that sedan doesn't come with a gorgeous real wood truck bed!
Open the door, and you'll see that not many vintage trucks have this level of interior restoration. The black vinyl bench is pristine and a good match for the new carpets. The dash has been hit with a coat of silver paint that really helps to bring out the florescent green glow of the original gauge package. It has a great feeling of originality from the factory dual spoke steering wheel, the heat/defrost controls, and the rare factory tach and clock!. But if you look closely, you can spot a nice upgrade. The original knob-style radio has been replaced with a retrosound unit that not only has a digital AM/FM tuner, but also it has auxiliary inputs so you can plug in the most modern music players.
Under the hood is a 283 cubic-inch V8, and with the ownership history and date coding, this could likely be the original motor to the truck. But from the moment you lay eyes on this V8, you also know it's far from stock. Not only was it rebuilt in its lifetime, but also there has been investment in some flair with the polished air topper, radiator pipe, and valve covers. Plus, there's extra power from Holley four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. The transmission is an upgraded TH350 three-speed automatic by ATI Racing. And this one feels great on the road thanks to features like power steering, power brakes, a thick front sway bar, and the C10's sought-after trailing arm rear suspension. Add the grip of modern BF Goodrich T/As on the iconic Rally wheels, and you've got a great vintage pickup that's also an easy cruiser.
This is the classic Chevy truck that can easily drive anywhere and look terrific doing it. A total package like this won't wait in our showroom for long. Don't miss out, call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
