Chevrolet C10 350 V8 1988

General description : PRO STREET STYLE BUILD W/ A STRONG 350 V8, AUTO, COOL PAINT, RUNS OUT STRONG!!

Take a lightweight truck weighing under 3000 lbs, then add a powerful V8 engine, and you have a resulting recipe that pretty much can't help but equal high-powered fun on the asphalt. Yet with Street Pro Trucks, just as with cooking, the finished product can only be as good as the ingredients going in. This 1988 Chevrolet S-10 Pro Street is all about the blend of those ingredients, resulting in a truck that not only provides the motoring experience you're after but is also so well-configured you'll likely find yourself wanting to drive it all the time.
Sure, the whole idea with Pro Streets is to end up with a street-legal vehicle with stock racing-type performance, but looks sure don't hurt, either. This short bed S-10 has a great sky blue hue to it that would look equally at home on a track or on city streets. The normally black stock bumper and chrome grille have been painted the same shade of blue for a monochrome look totally befitting a truck modified for this line of duty. Broad black racing stripes run down the length of the scooped hood and have a nice shine and professionally-applied look to them, as does the scoop itself - something you don't see all the time with Pro Streets. From the windshield, to the side and rear windows, the glass is clear, the rubber trim is in good shape and the panels sit together smoothly, with no obvious gaps. Just opening and closing the doors confirms how well-aligned everything is. The stance on this truck is just right - plenty of tire clearance but still low enough to underscore the point that tearing up asphalt remains Priority #1.
Inside resides a largely stock interior benefitting from some custom touches, as well as several aftermarket add-ons to enhance the driving experience. The blue cloth bench seat has been retained for casual comfort, as has the blue carpeting below and matching dashboard pad and headliner above. To keep a better handle on the goings-on in the engine compartment, a Sport-Comp tach has been added just to the right of the stock instrument cluster, still featuring surprisingly clear lenses on its speedometer and fuel gauge, while to the left additional gauges have been mounted on the window pillar to monitor oil pressure and temperature. Just in front of the bench seat, a B&M shifter hints at what lurks under the hood. Audio capability has been brought definitively into the present day via an AM/FM/CD system that also features USB compatibility that will greatly enhance your musical options.
Of course, at the core of every Pro Sport car or truck is its drivetrain - powerful enough to provide the motoring experience being sought, yet sensibly configured enough so that you don't have to wait just for special occasions to pull it out of the garage. This S-10 features a drivetrain that won't disappoint, as its 350 V8 will provide all the power you're going to need and yet sits surprisingly uncramped inside the engine compartment. It's dressed with the add-ons you'd want, including an Edelbrock carb and intake, topped by a chrome air cleaner. With the added headers and Flowmaster dual exhaust, it's got a great, throaty sound, aggressive and yet still smooth enough to signify its soundness. Emphasis on clean, powerful launches off the line is pretty evident in this build, judging from the stall converter, a set of Mickey Thompson slicks in the back, as well posi-traction, to make sure those slicks spin with equal conviction.
If you're looking for a Pro Street truck that has all the power you'd want for your adventures in acceleration, yet all the drivability you'd need to take out on the road whenever you desire, and both wrapped in a reasonably priced package, this S-10 is the one for you. Call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
