Chevrolet Chevelle 350 V8 1967

General description : FRAME OFF RESTORED! AWESOME DETAILS! KILLER STEREO! 350/700R4, A/C, SHOW READY!

Ever since they first rolled off the line to do battle with their muscle car counterparts, Chevelles have had a coolness all their own - a certain O.G. status that came from being among the first in the game. Lofty as that status may have always been, Chevy could not have known that their universally respected creation would ever be elevated to the level of this 1967 Chevelle Malibu. Outstanding aesthetics, an enormous list of features and painstaking attention to the details make this car an absolute showstopper.
The butternut yellow exterior on this beauty is absolutely impeccable. It's a color befitting a car with this kind of lineage, conveying just the right amount of retro confidence. Rebuilt literally from the ground up, this Malibu began a new chapter in its life with a frame-off restoration in 2004 and there's no doubt this build was done with a very high degree of precision. Take a lap around the car and you'll see how impressive the paint looks, even up close, and just how flawlessly everything lines up. Front to back, nothing but clean, new looking chrome everywhere, too - ruler-straight bumpers, unmarred trim and a pristine front grille where even the headlights glimmer with vitality. And the window glass throughout is crystal-clear. It has a stance that has an undeniable restomod appropriateness to it - certainly lowered but not so much as to detract from its agile look - providing an exclamation point to the serious presence of this classic, whose distinctive scooped hood gives fair warning of the power that lies beneath it.
Inside you'll find a custom vinyl interior that will knock you back on your heels. Custom touches are everywhere and yet all appear totally period appropriate at the same time. The butternut yellow of the exterior has been brought inside and perfectly accents the black vinyl found throughout. Reimagined front bucket seats sit on each side of the custom center console and that center console houses a one of a kind entertainment center, starting with a seamlessly mounted DVD screen situated just below dash level. Both sheer audio firepower and the expense that went into it are obvious here. The top of the line AM/FM/CD system with iPod connectivity is powered by amps located in the trunk alongside the sub-woofers. To either side, an additional speaker has been installed inside door panels that sit impressively flush. A full array of VDO gauges reside inside the original cluster. The Vintage Air A/C is in perfect operating condition and blows through both side and center vents for maximum coverage. Open the trunk and you'll see a couple of truly distinctive touches inside that pristine space, including a power supply switch tucked to the side and a custom-covered spare bearing the Chevy bowtie.
This Chevelle has been configured with performance to match its looks. A freshly built Chevrolet 350V8 fed by a Holley performance carb is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and sits in a truly inspired engine compartment whose walls match the butternut yellow of the exterior. With the internal wiring hidden from view, the contrast of paint with the sea of chrome parts within its confines - including the intake manifold, valve covers, air cleaner, serpentine belt system, brake and power steering systems setups, radiator hose and cover, and even the A/C compressor - creates a unique and striking effect. In front sits a generously sized aluminum radiator and reservoir, backed by dual electric fans to keep temperatures down, regardless of driving conditions. Every detail has been looked after and you'll notice even the hood hinges are made of polished aluminum and have a look that's both industrial and artistic at the same time. A set of new upper and lower control arms provide this Chevelle with reassuring sturdiness and its lowered stance and a set of Boyd Coddington 18" polished aluminum rims ably complete its one of a kind look.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
