Chevrolet Chevelle 350 V8 1972

General description : BEAUTIFUL RESTO, BUILT 350 V8, AUTO, 12-BOLT, PWR FRNT DISCS/STEERING, R134A A/C

This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu is the kind of muscle car we'd all like to own: a thumping 350 cubic inch V8 for power, a fantastic paint job, loaded with goodies like factory A/C, and an awesome stance. There's a good bit of money tied up in this car and it runs every bit as great as it looks.
If you're going big, you may as well paint it black, and the guys who did the work on this one were craftsmen of the first order. The bodywork is quite nice, with good fit and panels that reflect light almost distortion-free, and on a car like this, it matters. All the wonderful details of the late A-body design are there, including the character line that runs from nose to tail, and a fully functional cowl-induction hood. And no Chevy ever came out of the factory with paint that is as clear and deep as the finish on this Chevelle, which almost begs you to reach out and touch it. There's a subtle de-badging, which cleans up the flanks quite a bit, and the contrast of the stainless wheel arch moldings against the black paint looks great. Beautiful chrome bumpers are in excellent condition and the crystal clear headlights are a nice touch.
Inside, it remains largely stock, because there's not much you can do to improve on one of Chevy's best designs. The black ultraleather upholstery is brand new but replicate the factory patterns, and the carpets, door panels, and dash pad are new as well. The factory gauges have been upgraded to round SS units and are all fully operational save for the clock. You already know we love the center console and horseshoe shifter, which manages a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. You'll also note factory A/C and an AM/FM stereo, all sensible upgrades that make this car a pleasure to drive. Even the trunk is exceptionally well finished with custom carpet and a full-sized spare tire.
But the real fun of this one is the strong-running 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood. Nicely detailed, it is designed to look quite OEM and they worked hard to disguise any upgrades that went into the build. The carburetor is a performance-oriented 4-barrel atop an aluminum intake manifold, and with a mild cam inside, it has a potent idle and impressive mid-range punch. It barks to life through a set of long-tube headers feeding great-sounding Flowmasters underneath. As I mentioned earlier, there's also a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a 12-bolt with 3.36 gears inside so it cruises easily at modern highway speeds without much effort. The front suspension has been upgraded with tubular A-arms, new bushings, and Wilwood disk brakes up front. In back, there's a new gas tank and the suspension has been lowered two inches all around for that awesome crouching stance. Retro-cool Foose wheels are the perfect touch and they wear fat 18-inch Toyo performance radials.
Sometimes cars just stand out for how well-integrated they are, and this is one of those cars. A cool Chevelle with a ton of performance that will always get noticed. Call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
