Flashy muscle cars are fun, and polished customs are nice, but, for some folks, there's nothing better than a well-done cruiser. No gimmicks, no frills and no drama; just sun and fun — LOTS of fun. This exceptionally clean Impala is a classy stunner that mixes 396 cubic inches of big block power with a 3-speed drivetrain, comprehensive restoration and tasteful aesthetics. And if you're looking for a cool classic that's road ready, show-ready and just plain battle-ready, it's the perfect way to cruise the strip and turn some heads!
BODYWORK/TRIM
The beneficiary of a comprehensive, frame-off restoration, this carefully finished convertible was re- premiered in correct Regal Red 2-stage that successfully walks the line between coveted Chevy cruisers and legendary Chevy muscle cars. At the front of its well-maintained panels, a familiar stainless grille hangs a tasteful 'Chevrolet IMPALA SS' badge between bright T3 headlights, crisp parking lamps and a mirrored bumper that's finished with correct guards. Behind that grille, a stainless-trimmed hood flows to factory-tint glass, which rides under stainless wipers, stainless frames and correct vinyl. At the sides of that hood, a ridged profile, founded on thin wheel liners and small rocker guards, centers traditional door handles and a polished bowtie mirror behind black speed spears, stylish cross-flags and flowing 'Super Sport' badges. And at the back of that profile, fresh taillights, a modernist Chevrolet crest and black trunk trim split the difference between a correct antenna, a second 'Chevrolet IMPALA SS' badge and a second mirrored bumper that's finished with small reverse lamps.
ENGINE
This stylish Super Sport is motivated by a correct, 396 cubic inch Chevrolet V8 that, according to the factory, creates a solid 325 horsepower. At the top of that hot mill, a painted, single-snorkel air cleaner funnels oxygen in to a familiar Quadrajet 4-barrel, which feeds through fresh stainless fuel lines. That carb fills a cast iron intake, which is framed by factory Chevy heads and Chevy Orange valve covers. Those heads force spent gases in to correct, cast iron exhaust manifolds which, thanks to 2.5-inch, true-dual pipes, create a deep and sinister roar. That roar is the product of sparks sequenced from a traditional points distributor to fresh Belden plug wires. Those sparks are generated by pliable V-belts, which spin a rebuilt alternator opposite a Frigidaire AC compressor. And this B-Body's entire engine compartment, from its Chevy Orange block and convincing reproduction battery to its Satin Black fenders and correct Harrison radiator, is decaled, detailed, and ready to roll.
DRIVETRAIN/SUSPENSION
When the big block jumps to life, it spins torque through a correct, Turbo-Hydramatic 400 3-speed, which twists power to a tough 12-bolt axle. That pumpkin pushes a 4-link rear-half, which features Gabriel Red Ryder shocks. Opposite those shocks, a factory front-clip frames factory power steering. At the corners, power-assisted drums provide solid, consistent stops. Aluminized exhaust pipes shuttle spent gases through brash turbo mufflers. And everything rolls on painted steelies, which spin 215/75R14 Cornell whitewalls around ornate Super Sport wheel covers.
INTERIOR
Decked in correct Ivory vinyl, this Impala's delightfully '60s interior is conservative and comforting. Seating is provided by SS-spec buckets, which front a factory-spec bench. At the front of those mitts, a padded dash founds factory telemetry and factory air conditioning over a correct Delco AM/FM radio. At the center of the car, a chrome-trimmed console anchors a polished shifter behind stylish accessory gauges. In front of the driver, a color-keyed steering wheel laps a familiar Impala centerpiece. And power abounds in the cockpit as well, with a power top joining a power driver's seat and a full suite of power windows.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
