This engine was so famous or Infamous that one of the largest bands of the times, the beach boys, wrote an entire song to it. No other engine is as instantly recognizable not to mention as snappy as a small block with enough torque to yank tree stumps out of the ground. There was a reason the 409 was so revered in the 1960’s and is still sought after today.
