Ford F-100 383 Stroker V8 1961

General description : AWESOME UNIBODY CUSTOM, 383 STROKER, IFS, COLD AC, PS, PB W/FRNT DISCS, QUALITY!

Take a rare pickup, customize every inch, make it comfortable with features like A/C, and then top it all off with some serious horsepower. Yup, that sounds like the perfect turn-key classic to us, too. That's why were' excited about this 1961 Ford F-100.
Ford's brief flirtation with a seamless unibody option on the F-series is the perfect canvas for a custom like this. After all, the Alpine Peal has been so well applied that it can offer a near seamless shine because this truck's body has much tighter gaps and fewer of them. Everywhere you look on this Ford, there are big signs of huge investments. Up front, the new chrome grille and bumper give it a shining first impression. The custom ghost flames run up the hood, over the fenders, and down the sides. The tonneau cover conceals the color-coordinated bed that shows off the work needed to contain those extra wide wheels on the lowered suspension. And it all ends in a nicely integrated roll pan, and that seamless appearance just seems right on this unibody F-100.
Open the door to a fully-coordinated light beige interior. When you sit in the leather bench seat, it has the unmistakable feeling of quality – so you know it's all-day comfortable. The leather matches the door panel, kick plates, carpet piping, and dash pad to give you the kind of uniform presentation you'll be proud to show off. Even the steering wheel follows the color scheme. This classic is fully loaded with all the best features like power windows, an AM/FM/CD stereo, and ice-cold air conditioning. But it's when you twist the key and hear this one roar, that's when your favorite upgrade is revealed.
Grab your sunglasses before opening the hood, because the engine bay is just as show-worthy as the rest of this pickup. The tidy setup reveals plenty invested in polished components like the etched valve covers, matching air topper, pulleys, alternator, compressor, fan shroud, and so much more. And beyond the style you'll find the substance of a 383 cubic-inch stroker V8. This has been built with go-fast goodies such as an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, performance intake, and long tube headers that add power as they also contribute to the rumble of the dual exhaust. This is connected to a stout TH350 three-speed automatic transmission that feeds a Ford 9-inch rear with versatile 3.50 gears. And the final part to making sure the rubber meets the road are those massive 33x21.50 Mickey Thompson tires. But this is more than just a pure power package, this one is quite a thoughtful total build. You see that in elements like the Camaro independent front suspension, and the aluminum radiator w/electric fan that keeps you running cool even in traffic with the A/C pumping. Add in power steering and front disc brakes, and this is one terrific all-around custom.
The look of a drag racer, the comfort of a modern machine, and the rarity of a unibody F-100 – all of this is turn-key ready for the first person to grab this deal. Don't miss out, call today!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.
