The beautiful Mercedes 190SL is a two door convertible launched in 1955. The styling and engineering of the car is inspired from the iconic 300SL. Powered by a peppy twin carb 4 cylinder straight engine which was derived from the 6 cylinder 300SL, this vehicle provides the driver a most enjoyable ride.
This fantastic 1961 matching number Mercedes 190SL spent the first part of its life in the dry climate of California, in the hands of the McCraken family. In 2011, Mary Jane McCraken sold the car to Mr. Martin Martinez of Madrid, Spain. The car then went to the last owner, a gentleman from the Nederlands who commission a total nut and bolt restoration.
The chassis, the floor, the engine, the all electrical system, the carburettors, the chromes, the gaskets, the seals, the bodywork, the interior, etc… In fact, every single part of the car. The complete restoration took over 1,200 hours by some of the most specialised craftsmen to bring it into its now, perfect 100 point condition. This car is probably the most beautiful and exclusive Mercedes 190SL in existence. A truly unique car.
