1947 Mercury Convertible This nice survivor 1947 Mercury Convertible is being sold out of a collection of cars. It was just gone through by a mechanic to get it in good running condition. The exterior of the car looks good and the Burgundy paint isn't perfect but still has a nice shine to it. These cars had a ton of exterior trim all of which is in place on this car and very straight with a nice shine. The grill is very unique and all of the chrome on the car looks really good. It has the dual adjustable spotlights which are very neat to see in place. The factory power top is in place and the hydraulic cylinders and frame are mounted but it is not all hooked up and working properly. The original top motor comes with it but is also not currently installed. Original wheels and hubcaps ride under all four corners and are wrapped with White wall tires. Under the hood is a Flathead V8 that starts up and runs well. It has recently been worked on to get it running and has since been driven a few times and doesn't seem to have any issues. The 3 speed manual transmission goes through the gears smoothly and utilizes a column shifter. The drivetrain appears to be original to the car. The interior is where the car needs the most attention. The upholstery has a tear on the front drivers side of the bench and both the seats are stained. The faux wood dash looks good and all of the original style knobs, gauges, and trim are nicely mounted in place. For very little investment this could be a really sweet original Mercury. Reupholster the seats, add the top material and do some cleaning. That is really all it needs. SOLD - PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR OTHER CARS!!
