MG ZA Magnette 1959

General description : 1959 MG Magnette four-door Sedan The Magnette was an elegant mid-size sedan manufactured by MG from 1953 through 1968. This model is a Magnette ZB (1956 – 1959), and is reminiscent of an early 60s Jaguar Mark 2 sedan. Actual mileage is 41,024. A rust-free California car was stripped, rebuilt and repainted (inside and out) from the ground up to create this immaculately restored vehicle, sporting a gorgeous “Varitone” paint job of cream over burgundy with burgundy striping, and all chrome has been redone. The interior has been completely restored, with new carpeting, seats, inside door panels and headliner. The original wood dashboard and window trim have been refinished, all the instruments removed and refurbished, including the clock (accurate to ±2 minutes per month). All the glass, hinges and window lifters are new, as are the headlamps, fog lamps and horn. The 1.5L BMC 64HP B-Series engine and four-speed manual transmission have been completely rebuilt, with new pistons, rings, valves and head, with meticulously rebuilt carburetors and a new fuel pump. The engine and the engine bay have been painstakingly detailed. All 5 tires are new, as are the hub caps and brakes. The vehicle comes with its original tools and manuals.
