General description :
Es handelt sich um eines der wenigen Fahrzeuge, die nicht zum „Special“ umgebaut wurden. Die originale Holbrook Sport Saloon Karosserie mit der Chassis-No. 13717 ist noch erhalten und mit dem Motor No. 13168 kombiniert, wie es aus dem engl. Papieren der 60er Jahre hervorgeht.
Zu verdanken ist dies einem belgischen Liebhaber, der das Fahrzeug vor einem englischen Pub Anfang der 70er Jahre sah, nach dem Besitzer ausrufen ließ und es kaufte. Der Alvis blieb dann nahezu 4 Jahrzehnte bei diesem belgischen Besitzer, der ihn auf seine Niederländische Anschrift anmeldete. Die orig. schwarzen NL-Kennzeichen zieren noch heute das Fahrzeug. Vor etwa 4 Jahren wurde es dann an einen deutschen Alvis-Liebhaber verkauft.
In den 80er Jahren wurde das Fahrzeug behutsam unter Beibehaltung sehr viel orig. Substanz, z.B. des Leders, restauriert. Es zeigt heute neue Zeichen sympathischer Patinierung. Die Karosseriesubstanz und die Technik sind in einem sehr soliden Zustand. Der Wagen fährt sehr schön. Dennoch erhält das Fahrzeug vor der Auslieferung durch uns eine Inspektion. Die überalterten Reifen tauschen wir. Zulassungsfertige deutsche Papiere mit frischer HU und H-Kennzeichen liefern wir mit.
