This beautiful Tuxedo Black Chevelle for sale is powered by a 396 CID Big Block V8 and backed by the original 4 speed Muncie manual transmission. The original engine was replaced by this factory replacement block so it is date coded correct. Quite a few upgrades were done to the engine including: Edelbrock Performer Intake, Holley carb, Comp Cams camshaft, Hedman ceramic coated headers, and a Be-Cool aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. Out back the 12 bolt 3.55 rear end puts the power to the ground through radial tires wrapping the popular Boyd Coddington Wheels. Options include AM/FM/CD player, vinyl interior, seat belts, custom wheels, radial tires, and power steering. The 1969 Chevelle SS is one of America’s most recognized Muscle Car Icons, the 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle was produced with only minor styling changes, including new taillamps. With another record climbing sales year the Chevelle was on the rise and the SS 396 became an option package on all Chevelles and this one is beleived by it's owner to be an SS model. Now making it possible to order the SS 396 package on everything from the popular sales leading Malibu to the Chevelle 300-series and the Chevrolet El Camino pick up. The 396 engine option was offered again with 325, 350, and 375hp and in late model year, the 396 was bored out to 402 cubic engines, reportedly to meet new emission standards.
