Allgemeine Beschreibung : This 1972 Dodge Challenger is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The 72 Challenger is what many people consider to be the last year for a true Challenger. The body lines are very similar to the 70 models with subtle changes here and there which add up to a noticeable difference to the trained eye. If you can live with these slight differences you can pick up one of these beauty’s for a lot less than your 70 and even 71 models. This 72 is a fitting example of how you can get a nice Challenger for a fraction of the cost. Originally born as a 318 car this MOPAR has had a heart transplant to a much more respectable 340 CI high revving super responsive small block. The aftermarket Edelbrock intake and huge Holley carb probably have a lot to do with that extra power. Of course, with extra fuel you’re going to have more exhaust to get rid of so a set of headers was added giving very little restriction to the true dual exhaust system. The 727 trans is a great piece of equipment and with it recently gone through you are sure to have a blast slapping through the gears. Yes, you heard that right this MOPAR has the slap shift enabled shifter giving you the option to really have complete control. The plum crazy streak will look great as you go flying by the crowd, or even better if your go cruising by. The white vinyl top is the perfect fit and really makes the purple POP. Open the door and the white vinyl interior is classic 70’s with the black carpet making the whole thing really jump. The center console is where the shifter is mounted and really gives the car a sporty feel. With the dash having all the factory gauges intact and working this MOPAR is one of a kind. If you have been wanting to jump in the MOPAR arena but don’t want to spend an absolute ton of money this purple people eater is an excellent choice.
