You won't get any arguments from us that the 1969 Ford Mustang is the best-looking of all pony cars. Cars like this sleek yellow coupe exude muscle and performance, and with a few well-chosen upgrades, from the strong-running 351 to the all-new interior, it's insanely affordable for the quality that you get.
Grabber Yellow is hardly subtle, and we like the Mach 1 look this car wears. The paint and bodywork were restored a few years ago and still look quite good, with good panel gaps and just the right shine to the paint thanks to a bit of pearl added to the final finish. You'll note that a few GT-spec upgrades have been added, including a chin spoiler, hood scoop, and rear wing, giving it a menacing look overall. Some of you might be puzzling over those air scoops on the quarters, but they're the original pieces simply flipped and reversed for a custom look. Very trick! It's also got a blacked-out gas cap, and a pair of exhaust pipes sticking out from under the rear bumper to complete the GT look, and the stainless around the rear window was painted black as well. Beautiful chrome bumpers, some polished stainless trim, and those three-element taillights round out the traditional Mustang look.
The black interior is mostly new, too, including the seat covers, carpets, and door panels (with custom yellow bottoms), all of which have an upscale look that suits the formal coupe just fine. An aftermarket 3-spoke steering wheel has a period performance vibe and a soft-grip rim, and the deep-set gauges show crisp, clear markings that look great. There's no center console, but we like that no-nonsense look of the shifter simply being planted on the transmission tunnel. An AM/FM/CD radio is a nice upgrade and it sounds fantastic in the well-insulated cabin. In back, this coupe offers a rather spacious trunk that's outfitted with black carpets that look brand new.
Under that hood scoop you'll find a strong 351 cubic inch V8. It was recently rebuilt and runs superbly. A Holley 4-barrel carburetor inhales air and shoves it into an Edelbrock intake manifold and a set of mildly reworked heads, enough to make it entertaining but not so much that it's cranky and fussy. Details like the chrome air cleaner, Ford Blue paint on the block, and accessory finned valve covers lend a proper Ford performance look and a few bright red details from the electronic ignition system add contrast. It's backed by a C4 3-speed automatic transmission that cracks through the gears without hesitation, making this muscular coupe feel potent and with relaxed gears out back, it's ready for your next long-distance road trip. The undercarriage got a thorough makeover as well, featuring long-tube headers, a new Flowmaster exhaust system, fresh gas tank, traction bars, and those polished Torque Thrust-style wheels wrapped in low-profile performance rubber.

På sextiotalet rusade Ford i internationell motorsport scenen med en raseri. Efter misslyckade Ferrari övertagande, då Enzo Ferrari hade klippt affären av med Henry Ford II gör det senare absolut koka av vrede, vände Ford till Lola i Storbritannien för att producera en Ferrari slog långdistans racer efter. Samarbetet mellan Ford och Lola skapade den mäktiga Ford GT40 som absolut slog Ferrari i Le Mans 24 flera gånger.

I Europa införde Ford några av de mest episka race och rallybilar av 60-talet som bygger på ödmjuka familj sedaner; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, och Escort 1600RS med de ikoniska Cosworth BDA motorer.
