Fantastic `56 Austin-Healey 100/6 BN4. Built on the 19th December 1956 and intended for an American client in Philadelphia, the USA. The car we have today is the preferred BN4 version with factory-fitted overdrive and wire wheels. This car had been in possession of a Dutchman since he bought it in 1993. Over a 3-year period, the car underwent a nut-and-bolt restoration. Neither effort nor costs were a consideration in recreating every little detail to perfection. This Healy is then a thing of beauty. Many invoices track the cars history. The straight bodywork has perfectly fitting panels and a lovely lacquer finish with fine chrome details. The underbody is uncorroded. She has a 'Healy blue' finish with blue leather trim and matching blue soft-top. It also has a tonneau cover, the correct inset windows and 2+2 seats. The interior is quite original and has been well cared for. The 100/6 has a Heritage Trust certified, matching numbers, 6-cylinder engine that has been fully revised with extensive documentation.

About Austin-Healey
Austin-Healey was a British sports car make created as a joint-venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company. First Healey model, Healey 100, was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and developed by Donald Healey to be build in-house. They finished a single Healey Hundred for the 1952 London Motor Show. Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin was so impressed by the design that a deal was duly struck with Healey and the car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100 overnight. Austin Healey was born. 100 derived into 100-six, and different 3000 versions before they quit the production in 1968 as the basic design had finally become obsolete.
