Austin-Healey 100 BN2 highly original 1955

General description : A `55 Austin Healey 100-4 BN2 in incredibly original condition. With a limited production of only 4,504 in that year, this sought after BN2 has a manual 4-speed gearbox with overdrive on the 3rd and 4th gear. It was sold to America when new and has been in Holland for some time now. This Healey had a re-spray in the past but unfortunately we cannot say that the finish is perfect. The bodywork is nice, solid and free from any rust formation. The body panels are splendid. The underbody is completely solid. It has retained its first leather trim and original carpets. We are more than happy to recommend this quite exceptional unadulterated example to 1950`s car lovers anywhere!

About Austin-Healey
Austin-Healey was a British sports car make created as a joint-venture between the Austin division of the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and the Donald Healey Motor Company.

First Healey model, Healey 100, was based on Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals and developed by Donald Healey to be build in-house. They finished a single Healey Hundred for the 1952 London Motor Show. Leonard Lord, managing director of Austin was so impressed by the design that a deal was duly struck with Healey and the car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100 overnight. Austin Healey was born. 100 derived into 100-six, and different 3000 versions before they quit the production in 1968 as the basic design had finally become obsolete.
