1997 Bentley Continental T (RHD)
Introduced in 1991, the Continental R was the first Bentley in 26 years to not share a body style with a concurrent Rolls-Royce. The elegant two-door coachwork, inspired by the highly collectable Continental R-Type of the 1950s, was styled by John Heffernan and Ken Greenley. Five years later Bentley introduced a short-wheelbase version dubbed the Continental T that was equipped with an uprated engine developing 420 hp and an impressive 650 foot-pounds of torque available at just 2,200 rpm.
The car we proudly present to you today is from the first real year of production with only 2 cars having been produced in 1996. Having covered just 7,000 miles from new, the car is like new and arguably one of the best Continental Ts available anywhere and with unparalled low mileage as a model of which most have covered tens of thousands of miles. You won’t find another one in this condition with this mileage anywhere. Finished in an absolutely stunning Black Sapphire exterior over Champagne and Royal Blue Leather interior, the car presents beautifully in a truly stunning and elegant specification. The car also benefits from having been specified with burr walnut in place of the standard turned aluminium dashboard. Carpets and lambswool rugs are also in dark blue.

About Bentley
Before becoming a mere subsidiary to Rolls-Royce, Bentley was an independent Automaker famous for the "fastest lorries in the world" e.i Bentley 4½ Litre.Good ol' Bentley boys (A group of wealthy British motorists, mainly Woolf Barnato, Sir Henry "Tim" Birkin, steeplechaser George Duller, aviator Glen Kidston, S.C.H. "Sammy" Davis, and Dr Dudley Benjafield ) -in their trusty Bentley cars- took four consecutive victories at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1924, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930
In 1931 Bentley was taken over British Central Equitable Trust that later proved to be a front for Rolls-Royce Limited. Unhappy with his role at Rolls-Royce, W.O. Bentley left the company when his contract expired in 1935 duly joining Lagonda. This was beginning of which ultimately led Bentley cars to become more or less badge-engineered Rolls-Royce.
