LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1987 Buick Grand National
GM ended production of the beloved Grand National in 1987 and with that, decided to send it off with some final upgrades to make it the fastest model year yet. For 1987 the Grand National its 3.8L V-6 produced an advertised 245hp due to some upgrades including an air-air intercooler and increased boost pressure. Car and Driver's review began: "Corvette, get outa town. Mustang, move over. Camaro, keep your back to the wall at all times. The biggest, baddest gun west of the Pecos is loose in the streets, and there's gonna be some shootin'…." Car and Driver clocked a 4.9-second zero-to-60-mph run, quicker than a contemporary Corvette, most U.S.-market Ferraris, and even the Lamborghini Countach. Its quarter-mile was also impressive at 13.9 seconds.
The 1987 Buick Grand National offered here for sale was produced on November 5th, 1987 at the Pontiac, Michigan production plant and sold new at London Motor Products Ltd. This beautiful original GN is a collector dream only having traveled a mere 1,309 miles or 2,108 km since new. It presents today in showroom new condition having been driven sparingly and stored in a climate-controlled environment since new. The paint is all original and still looks showroom new despite being built 32 years ago. The interior components show as new with no signs of wear. It comes complete with owner’s manual, GM documentation, original bill of sale, vehicle delivery report, dealer brochure, original selling dealership finance department business card, Delco listening manual, and General Motors maintenance schedule.
As being the last year of production, this Grand National is considered the most desirable among collectors. That factored in with the low mileage, original documentation, showroom new condition and you have great investment grade muscle car!
Buick, today an American automobile division of the American manufacturer General Motors (GM), was founded in 1899 as the Buick Auto-Vim and Power Company, making it the oldest car make in the US.
To us, the most memorable models in Buick's line up have to be the late 40's Roadmasters and 60's stylish Rivieras with strong Italian influences.
