Buick Skylark 455 CID V8 1971

General description : Up for sale in Gateway’s #1 premier showroom is this super sweet 1971 Buick Skylark GS tribute car. The Buick Skylark needs no introduction and has been a staple in the classic muscle car scene for many years. There are many out there in the market but this one is particularly clean and cool. Powering this bad Skylark down the road is a time period correct 455 CiD V8 that is factory correct. It features the cold air induction system that is feed through the functional scoops in the hood. These big block Buick engines were notorious for the torque they delivered, and this is sure to provide all the thrills & sounds you would expect from such a powerhouse. It is paired to a smooth shifting 3-speed automatic transmission. The transmission is firm but not harsh, shifts smoothly up & down through the gears. The engine & transmission have both been rebuilt with approx.. 10k miles on them since their installation. Looking at the exterior of the car you will see the car has been repainted in its original color Silver Fern (#41) and it shows very well. It is free from very noticeable scratches, dings, dents, or blemishes. The clear coat shines look great out in the sun! The body is straight & true, and the paint was applied well, and the body panel gaps are parallel with each other and even. The car was restored to retain a more authentic and original look. The car sits on a newer set of American Racing 17-inch wheels that are wrapped in Kumho low profile tires that have plenty of life left in them. Getting into the drivers’ seat of the car you will see a mostly original and authentic restored interior that looks fantastic. Staying true to form with the car, the seats are covered in factory correct light green vinyl trim code #100. The carpet, door panels, headliner, dash, & glass are all in excellent condition. The seats are very comfortable & were obviously re-padded. With no cracks in the dash, no tears in the seats, this car is turn-key ready to go! The car shows very well but drives even better. The suspension has been updated & reconditioned. The doors open & close with ease. The car just drives like a classic should with no surprises.
