Cadillac De Ville 1957

General description : 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Seville The Cadillac Eldorado was a luxury automobile first introduced in 1953 and packed all the top of the line features available in its day.  They proved popular because Cadillac continued the series across 12 generations spanning all the way until 2002.  The 1957 Eldorado Seville you see is a beautiful example of one of these classics and was extremely well built.  With its beautiful chrome, beautiful paint and those long tail fins it just screams vintage luxury.  The car easily has over 6 figures invested turning it into the mostly original but slightly restomodded version you see here.  The elegant Cadillac body is very straight and features a beautiful custom Black Cherry paint.  The paint work is top notch with no expense spared.  All of the chrome and bright work is in exceptional condition with zero issues.  All of the glass is good as well.  There really isn't anything to knock on the car.  At first glance you may think those are hubcaps but it is actually riding on an extremely clean set of Cadillac Kelsey-Hayes Sabre wheels with wide white wall tires.  Powering this beauty is the factory 365 ci motor.  The dual quad carb set up has been rebuilt and topped with Cadillac's very unique triangle air cleaner that has been painted to match the body.  Everything looks very stock under the hood except for the chrome air cleaner and modern polished AC compressor.  The rest of the drivetrain is where those light restomod touches come in.  The motor has been custom adapted to a 700R4 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly with no issues.  It has also been upgraded up front with and IFS Mustang II suspension, disc brakes and a modern power brake booster and dual master cylinder.  Other nice features include the custom stainless tank and Rack and Pinion steering.   The interior on the car is absolutely gorgeous and in excellent condition.  It is done in a White and Black combination that looks great.  It has folding arm rests in front and rear, chrome Cadillac emblems in the top and stainless trim.  The trim has a pretty stock appearance with that same Black and White combo featured across the dash and onto the tilt steering wheel.  All of the original gauges, switches, etc work properly.  The upgraded AC system utilizes underdash vents and it blows cold.  The car has power seats and power windows which work correctly as well.  The trunk is finished out in a matching Black/White combo and is extremely clean.  It has a power trunk release and auto close system.  The way that works is when you put the deck lid into an almost closed position it automatically soft closes the rest of the way. This is such a clean, great looking car that is ready to go.  Cadillac's like this will always be a popular classic with entire collections dedicated purely to them.  Get it while it is still available!   This car has been SOLD!
