Highly Impressive American Classic
This 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible has been enjoyed for many years by the current owner who purchased the car locally in San Francisco in 2000. Up close and in person, we can tell you that this example has a great color combination with a high quality respray within the previous three years in the original color, 'Persian Sand' In addition to newer paint, upholstery and carpets were also replaced at the same time. Chrome appears to be original and in very good condition, along with very nice trim and straight body lines. You will find minimal imperfections in this high-end, driver-quality example. The interior is extra clean and really show off the craftsmanship of these earlier Cadillac examples. The door panels, dash and all the interior trim are above average for a driver of this caliber and age. The owner states he was informed the motor had been rebuilt just prior to him purchasing the car in 2000, although, there is no mileage documentation to verify precisely when and where this was done.
Additionally, this 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Roadster is sensational on the open road with smooth and powerful acceleration, and plush handling. Although we do not have documentation on file to show when this spectacular classic luxury vehicle was restored, we can say that the engine compartment is typical driver’s quality and this classic is obviously meant to be driven. Given its performance on our test drive and the many heads that turned from onlookers, it would be difficult to leave this beauty parked inside for long.
A Great Opportunity for a Highly Desirable Convertible
Overall, this 1960 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible is an incredible driver-quality classic and one of the nicest we’ve seen over the past few years at this price point. With fantastic curb appeal and outstanding daily performance, there’s simply no way that it remains available for long.
