For sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom is a 1952 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window. This beast of a truck is powered by a 400 horsepower 383 stroker small block Chevy. The block is a late 80's with four bolt mains, World stock heads, one piece rear main seal, ARP head and rod bolts, Comp Cam lifters, roller rocker arms and camshaft, Edelbrock RPM intake manifold, Carter carburetor, MSD street fire distributor and Taylor plug wires. Backing up this stout torque monster is a 700R4 and a 10 bolt rear end housing 3.73:1 Limited Slip. Both the engine and transmission have around 300 miles since the rebuild. Sound comes from tuned headers exiting through a set of stainless steel Magnaflow mufflers. Keeping the front end planted is a Mustang II TCI front end with upper and lower controls and rack & pinion power steering. Slowing down is a breeze thanks to power front disc brakes. Inside is a nice set of GM red cloth bucket seats that keep you in place and offer great comfort, a stainless tilt steering column and seat belts. Painted in Hot Rod satin black and riding on a set of GM Rally wheels, this truck makes a statement. Combined with a lowered ride height and an awesome sound emitting from the exhaust, this truck means business, but also offers great cruisability thanks to the 700R4 automatic with overdrive.
