Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to offer a cool little 1951 Chevrolet 3100. This is a great shop truck, or daily driver. The body is a little rough around the edges and is finished in Hot Rod Gray which mimics the look of primer. Once you see the pinstriping you’ll realize this is all part of the look, and certainly is appealing on an old truck. Though it’s an old truck on the outside, underneath it’s been modernized quite a bit. The front suspension has been upgraded with that of a Pontiac LeMans which rides much better than the original. For power, it has a 350 CID V8 small block under the hood and a reliable TH350 transmission. The rear ratio is unknown but is more of a cruising gear, or highway gear for gas sipping travel. Inside you have the comfort of bucket seats, a tilt column, updated gauges, electric wipers, and “Early Air” which is the fresh air vent which comes in through the cowl. Completing the old school look on the outside are Keystone wheels, and a rad exhaust which exits through the fender. This truck runs, drives, and cruises down the road very comfortably. It has been used for multiple 5 hour weekend trips, and is ready for more. Whether you’re gearing up for the Hot Rod Power Tour, or just want a cool daily driver, this truck is a great fit.
