Highly Original 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Shortbed Pickup
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this impressive and highly original 1955 Chevrolet 3100 1/2 Ton Stepside Shortbed 2 Door Pickup with red exterior paint and a black vinyl interior.  You’ll find a 235 cid straight-six engine under the hood with a four-speed floor shift manual transmission, and this example has been kept true to its original form in very impressive condition.  With a brand new wooden bed and recent maintenance, this beautiful pickup is ready to be driven and enjoyed on the open road right away as a quality driver.
Maintained at the Highest Possible Levels w/ Three Owners 
The current owner of this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup took possession back in 2013 as the 3rd lifetime owner and he informs us that he was drawn to this example due to the overall originality throughout.  While we are unsure if the drivetrain is original, everything appears factory correct under the hood with moderate signs of wear and this pickup drives smoothly.  The current owner recently replaced the clutch and throw out bearing so this one shifts nicely and delivers above average performance for a survivor of this quality.
Additionally, this 1955 Chevrolet 3100 Stepside Shortbed Pickup shows only minor levels of wear to the exterior with average paint across smooth body lines.  The chrome bumpers are also above average and the wood-grain bed is exceptional, as is the excellent factory interior with a period-correct dash and factory bench seating.  While we don’t have ample documentation, we believe that this example is an older restoration that really hasn’t changed much in generations.  It would make a fantastic daily driver or it could be fully restored into something truly special since everything is here.
