Chevrolet 3100 5 Window 350 V8 1947

General description : Description
This 1947 Chevrolet 3100 5-window takes the smooth lines of GM's Advance Design pickup and gives it a hardy dose of modern sleekness. And while this classic is irresistible to show off, great upgrades like the powerful V8, overdrive transmission, and custom/comfy leather make it irresistible to drive, too.
Twilight Royal Plum is the name of the paint that makes an instant impression. This was built to be a show truck, and that was only about a decade ago. So while this one has been driven over the last decade, it's far from a daily grind machine. That's why there's a vibrancy that lasts from a quality application of the metallic paint. The striking look also comes from the way it utilizes the purple on areas like the bumper, grille, and even the slats between the lumber in the truck bed. Custom blue pinstriping, lowered stance, 15-inch polished alloys, and more all come together to give you a detail-oriented classic.
The desirable five-window cab means you also let in more light to show off this exceptional custom interior. The supple tan leather has a fresh and detailed look, including the diamond stitch inserts on the seats that also match the doors. It's an appearance like a top-of-the-line modern truck, and so the interior is award-worthy all on its own (we're even told this took home a World of Wheels honors in 2012.) It's also quite comfortable with the individual bucket seats, cup holder console, and an AM/FM stereo with USB and Bluetooth. This even has provisions for air conditioning (it will need servicing to function again.) The wood-rimmed sports steering wheel is on a tilt column, and so you get a great view to the crisp factory-style gauge package.
With a build so awesome thus far, you know they made sure the engine bay would attract a crowd, too. The color-matched ultra-smooth firewall and inner fenders really funnel all your attention to the V8 power within. You can also tell they spent a small fortune on color-matched and polished components alone. And when you look beyond the style you'll see the substance of a 350 cubic-inch motor with a four-barrel carburetor on top. It's a strong V8 that makes a nice tune out of the glasspack-style dual exhaust. This is truly a fine driver, right down to the four-speed automatic w/overdrive. Add in the upgraded independent front end, power steering, and power brakes with front discs, it's easy to enjoy this custom pickup near or far.
Here's that ideal pickup that nicely blends vintage and new style into one custom build. So don't let this deal slip away, call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
