Chevrolet C10 Pickup Truck 1965

General description : Flashy muscle cars are fun and polished customs are nice, but there's really nothing cooler than a well-done truck. No gimmicks, no frills and no posturing: just power and presence -- LOTS of presence. This exceptionally clean C10 is a traditional stunner that mixes 350 cubic inches of Chevrolet V8 with a proven driveline, crisp aesthetics and a frame-off, nut-and-bolt restoration. And if you're looking for a cool classic that's both road ready and show-ready, it's the perfect way to cruise the scene and turn some heads!
RED, WHITE AND CHEVY
Sorted, solid and ready to roll, this sweet Action Line C10 is the beneficiary of a professional, 3-year restoration that was completed by Reflections Paint & Body Works of Belmont, North Carolina. That reboot makes excellent use of a roster of stainless fasteners and vivid Viper Red 2-stage paint. And that 2-stage stays smooth and silky over an array of tasteful custom touches. At the front of the truck, a polished grille centers a broad 'CHEVROLET' script between small parking lamps, clean headlights and a polished bumper. Above that grille, smoothed hood seams front polished wipers, which clear a factory big-window cab that's decked in 1963 C10 Custom stainless. At the sides of that glass, small pillar mirrors reflect a stainless-trimmed profile that's finished with traditional door handles, smoothed fender seams and a frenched, power-operated antenna. Behind that antenna, stainless-trimmed wood centers a relocated fuel filler between filled stake pockets. And at the back of the truck, a second polished bumper frames a massaged tailgate and clear taillights.
THERE'S NOTHING MORE CHEVY THAN A SMALL BLOCK
Activate the truck's painted hood supports and you'll find 350 cubic inches of proven GM crate engine that's good for a solid 290 horsepower straight from the factory. At that top of that 4-bolt mill, a polished air cleaner feeds wind to a Lokar-controlled Edelbrock carburetor, which rides a lightweight Edelbrock intake. At the back of that intake, a hot HEI distributor swirls fire around polished Edelbrock valve covers with the help of loomed 8mm silicone wires. Between those wires, a Summit cam bumps hydraulic, flat tappet lifters. Exhaust exits through stainless steel block hugger headers. Billet pulleys spin a polished water pump between a polished alternator, a polished AC compressor and a polished power steering pump. An aluminum radiator floats a polished water tube around an electric puller fan. And the smooth, Viper Red engine bay is spiced with niceties like polished breathers, a polished dipstick and a polished expansion tank.
RESTORED TO BE BETTER
Bottom-side, a restored factory frame rides a restored factory suspension that complements lowering springs, lowering blocks and lowering spindles with Belltech Complete Performance shocks. The 350's power flows through a Turbo-Hydramatic 350 3-speed that was rebuilt by Miller's Transmission of Gastonia, North Carolina. That gearbox leads a trusty 12-bolt axle that, thanks to Gastonia, North Carolina's CS Motorsports, spins a posi-traction differential around 3.08 gears. Turns come courtesy of fluid power steering. Stops come courtesy of a polished brake booster, which jolts Inline Tube calipers and factory drums. Aluminized pipes funnel spent gases through Flowmaster mufflers and polished stainless tips. A relocated, 17-gallon fuel tank provides a steady flow of fossils. And everything rolls on polished blades, which spin 255/50R17 Hankook Ventus STs.
KEEP IT SIMPLE
In the '60s, trucks were all about comfort and utility ' not DVDs, wireless and navigation systems. That's why it's so refreshing to hop in the cab of this purposeful but nicely appointed C10. The star of the show is a leather-wrapped bench seat that's been tastefully paired with premium carpet, rugged floor mats and custom kick panels. At the front of the cockpit, a chrome-trimmed dash hangs rebuilt factory telemetry between a custom tach, billet pedals and modern air conditioning that's controlled by a factory panel. Modern, direct-fit audio bumps tunes to Kicker kick panel speakers. And the driver spins an attractive Impala steering wheel around a tilting, color-keyed column.
When it comes to performance, durability and sheer Americana, nothing beats an old school GM workhorse. Thanks to a high-quality restoration, this stunning C10 wraps a hot drivetrain in a capable chassis and crisp aesthetics. Ready to stand out from the crowd? About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
