Description : Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1984 Chevrolet C10 Custom! The word wow followed by silence is usually the first impression this truck gives. Dive in and the rest should not disappoint.

Pretty much everything that matters on this truck has been touched, improved, or replaced. Starting with the business end there is a used 5.3-liter (323 cubic inches) that was given a Texas Speed stage 2 camshaft and valve springs, sheet metal intake, and ignition coil covers. For those unfamiliar the 5.3 liter engine is based on General Motors LS engine family and is a notoriously popular choice for performance enthusiasts. This engine bay pops like a piece of jewelry! The seller states the 4-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt as part of the project as well.

The red interior is stunning with a lot of new parts as well! The bench is comfortable, and the dash is fitted with a modern radio connected to modern speakers. Most of the equipment works, but there is a headlight out, no brights, the wipers/power locks and courtesy lights are not currently working. The windows are said to have new regulators but are a little slow possibly due to all the fresh rubber. A ton of custom work and attention to detail was put into the body work. The radiator support, inner fenders, and firewall were custom body worked to provide the stunning underhood aesthetic shown in the photos.

The floor of the truck bed was raised, sloped and an opening created to see the stunning framework and rear suspension underneath. This could also serve as maintenance accessibility in some cases.

The ride height has been lowered, and the factory suspension thrown away in favor of upgraded parts including Porterbuilt upper/lower control arms, 4 link rear suspension with QA1 coilovers, and drilled/slotted brake rotors. Many vehicles are just flashy or just powerful, but this ride appears to have it all!

As part of the build the seller stripped, sandblasted, and painted the frame black. The frame was also reinforced and customized because the initial idea for the build was to lower in on air suspension. Should the next owner wish to go that direction a custom mount location was created for the would be air tanks. The seller also states all new glass, rubber seals, chrome, and Lizard skin applied near the rust prone areas.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
