Chevrolet Camaro 383 1968

General description : Cruisin Classics would like to introduce to you a 1968 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport. This is a gorgeous representation of a first generation Camaro that is not only beautiful, it is also a great running and sounding hot rod. Glance at all of the pictures and you will be able to tell that it was done right and with all the right stuff. The undercarriage tells a great story as well too. It has been meticulously gone over and ready for the road as we speak. The details below outline a classic that has been taken to the next level. THE BODYThe paint is Candy Brandywine Red Metallic with Pearl White hood and deck stripes.The fit and finish are very good and all of the chrome, trim, emblems and bumpers have been replaced when restored. It has a cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers and dual sport mirrors. The Rally Sport hidden headlights have been upgraded with a kit from Detroit Speed and work flawlessly. The tail-lights have been upgraded to an LED System. To finish off the Show Package, we added a new set of 17" and 18" Ridler 5 spoke, chromed aluminum, mag wheels and Z rated tires.THE ENGINEThis beauty is powered by a GM 383 cubic inch crate engine.It is equipped with GM Performance aluminum fast burn cylinder heads, 4-bolt main block, steel crank, Hypereutectic 9.6 to 1 pistons and a hydraulic roller cam with self-aligning roller rocker arms. For the induction part of the program, we have an aluminum Edelbrock Endura Shine Performer RPM air gap intake and a Holley 750 cfm, "double Pumper" carburetor. For spark a Mallory HEI electronic ignition is used.The valve covers are Chevrolet Performance billet chromed aluminum and a K & N 14" open element air cleaner to top off the engine. Hooker ceramic coated 1-3/4" tube headers send exhaust out to a 2-1/2" Flowmaster American Thunder aluminized dual exhaust system. A few more engine compartment upgrades include, a high output 1 wire alternator, high pressure fuel pump, chrome engine pulleys', chrome power steering pump, aluminum flex-fan and a 4-core radiator with a factory fan shroud to keep it running cool.TRANSMISSIONCasting # 429315 (1968 Camaro). To handle all the horse-power of the 383, we have a fresh 400 turbo automatic with a 2500 RPM stall torque converter and finned aluminum deep transmission pan. For shifting it has a center console B & M Shifter.REAR ENDThe rear end is a custom built Ford 9" with aftermarket axles, 3.50 gear ratio and posi unit with rear disc brakes to help stop all the ponies.BRAKE SYSTEMIt is equipped with a power 4-wheel disc brakes system that includes an 8" dual chrome brake booster, chrome master cylinder and all ne brake lines and hoses.INTERIORThe interior compartment has been completely restored with all new black standard seat covers, door panels, carpet, headliner, dash pad and package tray.To team up with the power steering, it has the optional 3-spoke walnut grain sport steering wheel, am/fm stereo, Auto Meter Gauges and a B &M floor mounted shifter.
