Incredibly Nice 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Coupe
New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 with Rallye Green exterior paint, white racing stripes and a black houndstooth interior. You’ll find a factory-original 396 cid V-8 engine under the hood, with 350 horsepower, paired to the factory 4-speed manual transmission. This performance classic is in tremendous condition as well, and it is honestly one of the nicest survivors we’ve ever seen on the open market- the photographs can’t do it complete justice.
Numbers-Matching Drivetrain 
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Coupe appears to have been titled three times across its life, and was acquired by the current owner back in 2004. The current owner informs us that he did extensive frame-on restoration to the car between 2007 and 2008, including respraying from black, back to the original Rallye Green with white racing stripes we see today. A freshly rebuilt transmission, new suspension, interior work, and all new molding were done at this time as well. He informs us that this highly original example has documentation for work done since he has owned, and all the restoration was done to the highest possible standards.  As you can see from the photographs, the body lines are absolutely sensational and the chrome/trim is just as impressive up close.  While there are a few minor imperfections to be discovered, many would consider this rare muscle car a near perfect example due to its shocking originality. 
The interior of this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 is just as impressive since you’ll find a factory dashboard, center console with working gauges, hounds tooth seating, door panels and seat belts.  Both the steering wheel and the Hurst shifter look original as well, so this one could easily be one of the premiere survivors nationwide.  The minimal wear-tear you will find is almost negligible compared to the amazing overall appearance inside and out- it simply defies logic that such a desirable muscle car would withstand the tests of time so beautifully.
Additionally, this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 2 Door Coupe has a completely unmolested engine compartment and undercarriage that appears factory-correct throughout.  This example delivers simply awesome performance from the factory Turbo-Jet 396 motor and it could definitely be enjoyed as a high end driver today.  It literally needs nothing for the road or a local show.
