Chevrolet Camaro 1967

General description : There are two guaranteed ways to stop traffic with a classic Camaro. You can take the traditional path and buy a highly optioned original car that's fit for a plastic bubble. Or, you can pick up an old road warrior, grab a bunch of vendor catalogs and build the nastiest stoplight slayer your money can buy! Take this pro street coupe for example. Combining lively looks with a custom chassis and 502 cubic inches of buff Chevrolet big block, this fantastic F-Body was made to dominate the pavement and prowl the show! And if you've always wanted to build a classic that makes big power, possesses unbeatable aesthetics and oozes timeless Americana, it's your exclusive opportunity to save years of stress and bundles of cash. After all, why postpone joy? Call your friends at RK Motors Charlotte and become the proud new owner of a jaw-dropping F1! TIMELESS WITH A TOUCH OF RETRO
If your goal is to build a world-class custom, the first-generation Camaro is a great place to start. This classic's detailed build, no doubt performed by someone who had lots of experience, took the sublime angles of a first-year coupe and tailored them into an acute jaw-dropper that commands major respect. The car's solid body has been lovingly coated in rich Maroon pigment. And that glossy 2-stage is accented by distinct gold and blue stripes that feel both fresh and familiar.
At the front of this Chevy, a blackened grille floats factory parking lamps between a clean bumper and modern, tri-bar headlights. Above that grille, a shaved header leads a cut Cowl Induction Hood, which shades a wiperless cowl that's reflected in stainless-trimmed, factory-spec glass. At the sides of that hood, a monochromatic profile flashes ghosted checkers beneath factory door handles and attractive bowtie mirrors. And at the back of the car, a second clean bumper shields a shaved decklid, a body-matched fuel filler, a seamless valance and modern, LED taillights.
302 + 200
You really can't go wrong with a Chevrolet engine. Especially when it's a big block. ESPECIALLY when that big block is punched out to 502 cubic inches! That legendary displacement kicks off with polished air cleaners, inside a polished scoop, which feed a duo of mean Demon carburetors. Those bright pots, wired with braided fluid lines, drop fossils into a polished intake that's reflected in polished valve covers. At the back of those covers, a hot MSD distributor sequences spark through thick MSD plug wires. Coated, large-diameter headers, which appear to be custom, jettison spent gases in to throaty rear-exit exhaust. The relocated mill spins a polished alternator and an electric Moroso water pump in front of a polished Motor Plate. And a beefy Northern radiator keeps everything cool with the help of corrugated tubes, a big puller fan, a polished overflow and a polished Mahaffey Motorsports shroud. Naturally, the Charcoal beast looks great set in a custom engine bay where every surface is completely painted. And niceties like billet breathers, trick dipsticks, billet Detroit Speed hood supports and a choice Wilwood master cylinder ensure this show worthy Chevy has the acute detail to back its great mechanical ability.
THE CUSTOM IN THE CUSTOM
Look under this F1 and you'll find a custom, rectangular tube chassis that supports custom, flat floorpans and full wheel tubs. At the center of those bones, a B&M-branded Turbo-Hydramatic 400 twists a braced Ford 9-inch axle. That proven pumpkin pushes a ladder bar rear-clip that's finished with adjustable Aldan American coil-overs. That clip is led by a familiar Mustang II front-clip, which sandwiches lucid rack-and-pinion steering between two more Aldan American coil-overs. Stops are provided by a quartet of discs. The soundtrack thunders through coated, large-diameter pipes that are threaded through an X-shaped crossover and customized Flowmaster mufflers. And rolling stock is equally impressive, as 15-inch Aerospace Components wheels spin 26x7.50 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans in front of 33x18.50 Mickey Thompson ET Streets.
THE ANTI-SPARSE
As expected, the plush leather interior hiding behind this Chevy's tight doors is much more substantial than the 'bare bones' furnishings of average drag strip skippers. A leather-wrapped roll cage frames sporty bucket seats that were sourced from a modern GM offering. A custom, leather-wrapped dash plants a full suite of AutoMeter Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite telemetry above rich Eclipse audio that's piped through dual MTX Terminator amps. At the base of that dash, a serious Hurst shifter surfs a leather-wrapped tunnel that's bordered by clean carpet and billet-tinged side panels. Roof-mounted nitrous controls join an aggressive MSD shift light opposite bright foot pedals. In front of the driver, a polished and leather-wrapped Lecarra steering wheel laps a polished, tilting column. And the car's trunk has been carefully repurposed for a polished fuel call, a polished nitrous tank and a reliable Optima battery.
From its slick aesthetics to its trick mechanicals, this spectacular Camaro packs BIG performance in a legendary wrapper. The car's lethal combination of power and prestige creates the perfect recipe for one highly desirable classic. Why not have it all, right now, in a lights-out custom that's ready to own the show?
