This 1967 is powered by a 1967, 427 with a casting date of April 18, 1967 (D187) and a casting number on the block of #3904351. The cylinder heads are the high performance square port versions that were the original equipment for the 70's LS-6 engines, part number 3964291 dated E 7 70. It has an Edelbrock aluminum highrise intake manifold along with an Edelbrock 750 carburetor. A 14 open element air cleaner and original style chrome valve covers finish off the top of the engine. Other engine features are a 7qt. Deep sump oil pan, energy suspension motor mounts, Hooker ceramic coated headers flowing through a Dynamax 2-1/2 dual exhaust system, aluminum water pump, new fuel pump, new belts and hoses. The power steering is the original big block style with the remote reservoir. Pump gas friendly.
The body overall has great fit and finish. The paint is outstanding to match straight body panels. Has all original, rust free floors, SS louvered hood and all of the Super Sport trim. The bumpers, emblems and chrome are all NEW.
Inside you will find beautiful red factory bucket seats (NEW TOP TO BOTTOM). Original 4 speed console with clock, factory blinker tachometer (very cool option!), in-dash factory gauges as well as aftermarket gauges. Original tilt steering column, power steering, and an added bonus of factory power windows add to the uniqueness of this classic muscle car.
The Muncie 4-speed is quite appropriate for the car. Inside the transmission is matched with a Hurst Competition Shifter.
The rear axle is a 10 bolt, suffix CG, Posi-Traction with 3.08 gears.
Suspension is stock but rebuilt.
Power front disc brakes with NEW brake booster, master cylinder, lines and hoses. NEW gas tank and sending unit. BRAND NEW, BF Goodrich Radial T/A's.
