The next amazing vehicle up for grabs in our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS 2 Door Convertible with red exterior paint and White vinyl interior. You’ll find a big 427 cid V-8 GM crate engine under the hood with Sanderson headers, a 411 Posi rear end, Flowmaster exhaust and a Tremec five-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. This highly original classic muscle car is a real SS model and it has been meticulously cared for by the current owner going all the way back to 1968. This one’s in excellent condition throughout as well and it is nicely equipped for modern highway driving. You have to see this ’66 Malibu in person to truly appreciate the quality- it has a mere 41,296 miles on the odometer.

This 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS Hardtop was originally sold in Arizona and it has been enjoyed by two lifetime owners, the first of which sold it to the current owner in 1968. From there, this beautiful muscle car spent the next five decades garaged in California and only driven for parades and cruises like Hot August Nights. The original motor was replaced in 2005 with a rebuilt 427 motor and an oversized Be Cool radiator to make this one an exceptional classic to cruise in at slow speeds during hot weather. For instance, this classic was used to drive the Parade Marshall in the 2015 San Francisco Chinese New Year's Parade, an event that was seen by over two million.
In terms of condition, this 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu SS converttible really shows nicely with excellent body lines, nice chrome work and quality exterior paint. There are some minor blemishes to be found but nothing to take away from this survivor’s great overall appearance, and the full interior is equally as clean throughout.
