Chevrolet Chevelle 1970

General description : You already know that RK Motors Charlotte has a thing for Chevrolet's most famous muscle car. From their long list of options and stacks of documentation to their hundreds of cubic inches of big block bliss, we've brought you some of the most mind-blowing, potent and flat-out brutal Chevelles the market has ever seen! And from the insane twin turbo Maliboost we sold back in November to the killer Burnt Orange coupe we sold a few days ago, we continue to be your number one source for anything that starts with the letters C, H, E and V. After all, what's not to love about a classic that defines the dominant era of Chevrolet ingenuity, showcases an unparalleled era in American culture and represents the best era of Detroit's manufacturing might? Absolutely nothing; and that's why this brilliant custom, with its 627 horsepower LSX454, dynamic paint and trick, LED-lit interior, is the perfect piece for the muscle car fan who wants the best of absolutely everything!
BUILT TO STUN
Buff, bad and ready to roll, this pristine Chevelle is the beneficiary of a detailed, ground-up build that was completed by the pros at Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania's Tony's Muscle Cars. Still as fresh as the day it rolled into the sunshine, that high quality restoration dressed solid sheetmetal in a vivid coat of custom PPG two-stage. And today, this handsome Chevy walks a fine line between tastefully modern and traditionally conservative.
The car's clean profile flames to life with a polished grille that centers a prominent 'SS' emblem between stainless-trimmed headlights and an original bumper that was professionally re-chromed. At the top of that grille, a familiar Cowl Induction Hood traces factory-tint glass that's cased in straight stainless and capped with color-keyed drip rails. At the sides of the car, bright wheel frames join traditional Super Sport fender badging to add a little pizzazz while re-chromed door handles perfectly complement a factory driver's mirror. And out back, a second re-chromed bumper stretches a clean SS inlay between polished exhaust tips and LED taillights.
BUILT TO RUN
Lift the hood and you'll find 454 cubic inches of proven LSX small block that, sourced directly from Chevrolet Performance, creates an impressive 627 horsepower! That monster eats through a prominent Cold Air Intake, which bends a polished tube behind a fresh Spectre filter element. That tube fronts a proven factory throttle body, which fronts a lightweight factory intake. That intake, wired with factory fuel rails, rides hot LSX-LS7 heads, which tilt a choice mix of titanium and sodium-filled valves between fluid roller rockers and attractive, Chevy Orange covers. Stout 11 to 1 compression gets bumped by a forged steel crank, forged aluminum pistons, forged 4340 rods and a spry hydraulic roller cam. Those internals funnel spent gases through Jet-Hot-coated Hedman Husler Hedders. There's a massive Be Cool radiator that's slid between a dressed support, a polished expansion tank and big SPAL puller fans. A polished Billet Specialties Tru Trac serpentine drive spins a polished AC compressor opposite a polished alternator. Ancillaries are first rate in every way, with relocated coils and a polished oil cap complementing a polished brake booster and a trusty Wilwood master cylinder. And the iron, six-bolt mill rolls in a clean, body-matched engine bay that's finished with chromed hinges and an orange-tinged Optima battery.
BUILT FOR FUN
Take a gander under this cool A-Body and you'll find a battle dressed chassis that mixes new age technology with old school durability. The LSX kicks a tough Tremec 6-speed, which twists torque to a familiar 12-bolt pumpkin that's built with 3.73 gears, a posi-traction differential and proven Moser axles. Those cogs push a familiar F41 Sport Suspension that's been thoughtfully upgraded with a Detroit Speed sway bar, Detroit Speed control arms and adjustable coil-over-shocks. A power-assisted PSC steering box leads a quartet of six-piston Wilwood calipers, which grab a quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Exhaust is handled by three-inch pipes, which swirl spent gases through an H-shaped crossover, rowdy Flowmaster Super 44 mufflers and polished tips. And at the corners, Billet Specialties Heritage wheels spin 225/55R17 Continental Pure Contacts in front of 305/45R18 Nitto NT555R Extreme Drags.
BUILT TO STUN
Swing this Chevy's doors and you'll find a choice custom cockpit that was installed by Steve Holcomb and the gang at Knoxville, Tennessee's Pro Auto Custom Interiors. Front and center, modern buckets frame a stylish, full-length console that's finished with a billet shifter. A padded and wrapped dash founds Dakota Digital HDX telemetry next to controls for Vintage Air conditioning. Custom side panels center sporty pulls and billet handles in front of fluid power windows and trick LED lighting. The driver enjoys the car's power through an attractive Billet Specialties Monaco wheel. The passenger's stow essentials in an LED-lit trunk. And the beats don't stop thanks to Bluetooth-capable Pioneer audio that bumps 6x9 speakers, 6.5-inch tweeters and two 10-inch subwoofers.
Professionally built and ready to rock and roll, this awesome Chevelle is an excellent mix of all that's great about the classic car hobby! Few other offerings so seamlessly integrate timeless MoTown swagger and custom curb appeal with a roster of modern hardware that turns the performance dial from a 10 to an 11. Ready to stand out with an iconic muscle car that can be driven with the best AND shown with the best? This sweet Chevelle is your next ride!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
