Chevrolet Corvette 1979

General description : For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this low mileage 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. This example of a late ‘70s C3 has just over 35k miles on the clock. The story tells that this car was owned by a lady in New Mexico from 1979 to 2000. In the early 2000’s the Vette found its way to the sunshine state. Today we are happy to feature this beautiful C3 in our South Florida showroom. You are looking at a matching numbers L-82 car. The 350ci V8 L-82 engine is rated at 225hp and left the factory with 30 more horses than the lower rated L-48 engine. If you drive a 79 Vette with a L-82 engine you probably will never set another food in a L-48 C3. Turn the key and the fun begins. The car drives and handles very well. With removable T-Tops it is your call if you want to enjoy this special convertible feeling or just click them on and cruise down the road with the A/C pumping. With power steering you will arrive comfortable at your next destination but calculate in some detours into your route planer. You really don’t want to leave this fantastic and super clean interior. This is how a Corvette should look like from inside that just has over 35k on it. But when you get out you will see that the Corvette was recently repainted in a dark green metallic and she is a beautiful driver. The color combination is just right for a 79 Corvette. Since the car was located most of its life in New Mexico you don’t have to worry about the frame or bird cage. Everything looks solid and straight. If you are looking for a great classic car without breaking the bank stop looking. This C3 is the one you want to drive into your garage. The later C3’s are still undervalued and cheap compared to the early third generation. But in the past years the value is steadily going up and this probably will continue until they go up to the 30’s. Now is the time to buy one. If you have any questions, please contact us and we will take it from there. Greetings from South Florida. Let it ride!!! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
