Chevrolet Corvette 540 V8 1967

General description : There are quite a few reasons why we sell so many top-notch Corvettes. For starters, the Corvette is, in many enthusiasts' minds, the quintessential American classic. Given the marque's big production numbers, they're pretty easy to find. And, thanks to broad aftermarket support, they're fairly easy to build and maintain. That said; every classic takes patience. And building a project to the level of this 725 horsepower Stingray can quickly fall into a lifelong saga. That's why, increasingly, enthusiasts are walking directly in to our showroom and kicking the words 'finding' and 'building' right out of the conversation. Wrapping silky aesthetics around an upgraded chassis, an upgraded cockpit and 540 cubic inches of Merlin tri-power muscle, this coupe is all about the phrase 'quintessential American classic'!
YES, 725 HORSEPOWER
Every car has a story, and this Corvette's story goes a little something like this: A nicely restored coupe that attained NCRS honors, the car was eventually rebuilt into a Merlin-powered street beast that was specifically tailored to the tastes of ARCA driver Jeff Buice. Naturally, race car drivers like power… Lots of power. At the top of this Vette's magic mill, a polished air cleaner flashes a custom decal above a reusable filter element, which funnels breeze into a trio of Holley carburetors that are finished with quality XRP fittings and flashy Willy's spacers. Beneath those pots, an aluminum intake fronts stainless-trimmed ignition, which fires spark through thick Moroso Blue Max plug wires. At the sides of that plane, muted valve covers balance a billet oil cap on aluminum Pro Topline heads. At the front of those heads, pliable V-belts spin a trusty Stewart water pump between modern power steering and a proven Delco Air AC compressor. In front of those ancillaries, a thick Be Cool radiator makes excellent use of a large puller fan. Exhaust duties are handled by long Hooker Super Competition headers. And aesthetically, Satin Black paint frames niceties like braided hoses and a custom oil pan.
GOOD MADE BETTER
Bottom-side, a tough Tremec 5-speed floats an SFI scattershield in front of a posi-traction rear-end that's built around 3.55 gears. That driveline pushes an independent factory suspension that's been beefed up with Penske shocks, tubular control arms, Vette Brakes & Products torsion bars and a composite Vette Brakes & Products mono-leaf. Traditional power steering leads power-assisted Delco Moraine calipers, which clinch a quartet of vented rotors. Exhaust floats from the aforementioned headers in to custom, large-diameter side-pipes that are cleverly wrapped in factory heat shields. And power meets the pavement through upsized alloy Rallys, which twist 255/45ZR17 Michelin Pilot Sports around polished trim rings and low-profile center caps.
CORRECT MADE BETTER
That impressive scroll of components rolls in a detailed, body-off restoration that was completed in late 2015. Correct Marlboro Maroon 2-stage seems smooth as silk over solid body panels that are straight and well-aligned. And that alignment serves as an excellent canvas for a painted Stinger Stripe. That stripe begins at a cross-flag-branded header, which shades polished bumpers, a stainless-trimmed grille and a custom chin spoiler. At the sides of that spoiler, amber marker lamps lead a sculpted profile, which seats polished door handles and ornate fender louvers between polished bowtie mirrors and painted rocker guards. At the top of that fuselage, a correct Stinger Hood fronts fresh glass that's caged in polished stainless and satin wipers. And at the back of the car, a Stingray-branded deck centers a color-keyed fuel cap between polished bumpers, a polished tag frame, a modern antenna and dual-mode taillights.
SADDLE UP
Between the doors you'll find a stylish Saddle interior that weaves subtle upgrades into timeless style. At the center of the car, modern, 3-point belts cross plush leather seats that are finished with A82-style headrests. In front of those mitts, a 2-tone dash hangs restored factory telemetry next to cool air conditioning and modern, direct-fit audio. A factory shifter fronts chrome switches for the car's power windows. And that fully interactive handle works well with a reduced diameter steering wheel, which spins a matching leather rim around a tilting column.
With its killer big block, athletic chassis and rich furnishings, this awesome Corvette combines explosive horsepower with excellent performance and classic American appeal. Nothing's simply 'adequate' about this car; it's an exceptionally well-done resto-mod that'll provide years of invigorating driving and turn heads anywhere it goes. If you're looking for a stunning Detroit super star that has the muscle to back up its handsome looks, this clean Chevy is your next cruiser!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
