Chevrolet Corvette 454 V8 1971

General description : 1971 Chevrolet Corvette One of the most collectable vehicles out there has to be the classic Corvette.  Born in 1953 these cars continue to be highly sought after.  This 71 belongs to the C3 generation and is one of the nicest out there.  It is a survivor type car with 33,000 miles on the odometer which are believed to be original based on the mileage noted on some previous receipts.  It has had some mechanical upgrades but all of the original parts come with the car.  It is painted in its original Ontario Orange paint which is in great shape.  This year had the removable TTops and rear windshield plus it comes with the bags for the TTops.  All of the chrome is in good condition with no pitting or issues.  It rides on its original rally wheels which are wrapped in new BFG Radial T/A tires.  Under the hood sits the numbers matching LS5 454 V8 motor that runs great.  In an effort to make it a good dependable driver the motor was gone through and it received multiple recent upgrades less than a year old.  This includes a Crower cam, lifters, roller rockers, guides, springs, retainers, and locks as well as a Cloyes timing chain assembly, new clutch, new pressure plate and flywheel assembly, new fuel pump, new carburetor, new intake, Flowmaster mufflers, new radiator, new trailing arm assembly, all new u-joints, an MSD 6A ignition, MSD wires, MSD coil, and all new motors/trans/3rd member seals and gaskets.  It also got new motor mounts during the process.  So while the car has been kept unrestored to maintain its originality it has been gone through to make sure it is a good reliable driver.  It has factory power steering, power brakes and air conditioning but a new compressor has been installed.  Paired with the motor is a 4 speed manual transmission that moves through the gears smoothly.    The interior is complete in its original Dark Saddle vinyl and in excellent shape. Everything is stock except for the stereo and speakers which have been upgraded.  Even the fiber optics are working correctly which is something that tends to go out on these early C3 Corvettes.  The car is in great condition throughout and in addition to some original parts it comes with a bunch of receipts and even the original invoice.  If you are in the market for a collector quality Corvette this nice survivor is a great fit.  It is a nicely optioned car and low mileage cars like this are only getting more difficult to find.  This car has been SOLD! About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
