Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is excited to present this bad to the bone 1974 Chevrolet Corvette custom.

This isn't your typical whimpy '74 Vette folks. The custom paint scheme, sidepipes and wheels alone tell you it is a fire breathing dragon! Pop the hood on this baby and you'll be impressed with the rebuilt big block 454 dressed to kill, complete with L-88 style air cleaner setup. It runs as good as it looks! The VIN tells us it was born a 454 LS4, and the numbers on the block match the VIN suggesting it is the original LS4 block, just enhanced. For you numbers guys, the data plate shows a November 1973 build date, and it was white originally. The silver interior is the original color according to the trim tag.

Quality is quite good on this car, with its smooth, high gloss finish outside and silver leather interior. The chrome side pipes look vintage C3 tough, and sound terrific. This was a factory air car, however the system is incomplete and would need restoration.

Not too many Vettes had the silver interior, and it looks particularly good in a C3 like this. It would not take much to make it outstanding. Of course there are power steering and brakes to tame the beast and make it easier to drive.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
