Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1966 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Resto Mod! Heading into the mid-60s Chevy was on a hot streak! Corvette had been performing well, both on the track and on paper. Recently off the successful and well received C1 design the C2 debuted in 1963 and the world was ready. The launch of the C2 Sting Ray captivated America and nearly everybody was itching to get behind the wheel of what would become one of the most loved generations of the long running Corvette line! Especially considering the C2 era only spanned from 1963-67. Speaking of getting behind the wheel, now over 50 years removed you have the same opportunity. Here we have a stunning '66 model, and she isn't your dad's old corvette anymore. The Volcano Red paint is striking and different than you typical red corvette. The black cloth top is in nice shape and operates manually. The side pipes and Rev 17" wheels give her an aggressive stance! Inside you'll find very sharp black leather seats with red stitching to match the exterior tones. Under the hood, lying in wait and ready to strike is a fuel injected 5.7L LS1 V8 engine with power running down through a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission. To bring her to a stop she is assisted by Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes. To help beat the heat she has an aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. Assisting with the ride and handling she is sitting on a Vansteel front suspension and coil over shocks. Current owner has had her for over 3 years. Title is clean and clear and ready to be transferred into your name now! If you are looking for a very sharp c2 corvette that still gives you the iconic look of the 60s but with modern performance this Corvette demands your attention! Options on this Corvette are: Power Windows, Leather Interior, Manual Convertible Top, AM/FM Radio, Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
