Chevrolet Impala Convertible 305 V8 1963

General description : Description
This 1963 Chevrolet Impala convertible is the glossy red drop-top classic that has been built to be a true driver. You'll even find the right boulevard-ready upgrades, like an overdrive transmission! So dig into the details of a iconic American that's also quite a nice cruiser.
The '63 Impala convertible is one of the most iconic drivers out there. After all, it always feels cool to be seen top-down and hitting the road. And these also have the room to comfortably bring along as many people as you want. The appeal is amplified on a car like this. The Alfa Red paint makes it as vibrant as an Italian sports car, and its glossy finish highlights the straight sheetmetal beautifully. And the white roof makes it as all-American as a Coca Cola bottle (so it's one of the few convertibles that looks very appealing with the roof in place, too.) Plus, you've got nice brightwork on the mirror-like chrome bumpers, full-length side trim, and upgraded 17-inch American Racing Torq Thrust alloys.
The white convertible top looks great in place, but with the flip of a switch, it powers down to show off an even more impressive red interior. You can tell there was a solid investment here in newer materials that want to keep the stock style. The bench seats are done with a button top presentation, and the pattern is repeated on the door panels. Plus, smooth dash, a nice convertible boot, and red floor mats over red carpeting give this a clean and uniform look. But this is also a driver's machine, and so you have well-placed upgrades. The Grant sports steering wheel feels great in your hands, and you have an upgraded Hurst floor shifter. And the retro-style AM/FM digital tuner w/cassette gives you upgraded driving music.
The engine bay is both very clean and well detailed. You have the bold Chevy V8 block, bright etched valve covers, matching air grabber, steel braided lines, and plenty more polished components all around. And we especially like the panel over the radiator announcing this is the Lady in Red. You're looking at a 305 cubic-inch motor that inhales deeper with a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And the dual exhaust lets he V8 exhale with a sweet tune. It's a strong runner with a smooth idle. So the upgraded 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/highway-friendly overdrive really lets you take advantage of this motor to the fullest. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes, and modern Pirelli sport tires afforded by the wheel upgrade.
This is the Impala convertible that looks great on the outside, is comfortable on the inside, and upgraded to be a true all-around driver. A classic of this caliber doesn't stay with us long, so call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
