Chevrolet Malibu 350 CID V8 1978

General description : This awesome 1978 Chevrolet Malibu is for sale in our Louisville KY showroom. The Malibu was introduced in 1964 as a top of the line series for the now iconic Chevelle. A midsize offering that could be had in anything from wagon to a rip roaring 2 door hardtop SS which most people associate the name with. This 78 has kept with those SS roots and is sure to bring a smile on your face rather cruising down the highway or doing a smoky burnout leaving the car show. The body of this 78 is very straight with the blue paint being understated yet guarantee to grab attention. The Slate color on the bottom is a great contrast and helps bring out that body line. Under the hood is were the real fun begins with the original engine replaced with this 350 Vortec style offering a ton more power. The Edelbrock intake with the Holly dual feed 4 barrel sitting on top ensures just the right amount of fuel. The MSD ignition system is much more consistent while adding a more robust spark. The exhaust is taken away by the set of custom Headers with the true dual exhaust giving this 78 an understated growl. The 700r4 transmission shifts out nice and smooth with OD giving you the ability to run at highway speeds while keeping the RPM’s down. The interior has been done in tweed with a set of buckets giving it a much sportier feel. With the B&M Shifter placed in the perfect position between the seats shifting is as easy as dropping it in drive. With it being a Hammer shifter, you can drop it down in 1st and just like the name says hammer through the gears. Finished off with a set of 15” rally’s this is a great car with a ton of attitude guaranteed to put a smile on your face every time you turn the key. Options on this 1978 Chevrolet Malibu include, AM/FM/CD, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Cloth Interior, and Rally Wheels with Radial Tires. About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
