Chevrolet Monte Carlo 350 V8 1971

General description : NUMBERS MATCHING 350 V8, AUTO, PWR FRNT DISCS/STEER, FACTORY A/C, GREAT RESTO!!

1970 was the peak of the muscle car era, but if you're not into stripes and extroverted colors, this handsome 1971 Chevrolet Monte Carlo is an excellent choice. Sporting a great-running small block and a luxurious interior, this beautiful bronze coupe is a great show and go car that still looks awesome and delivers plenty of punch under the hood. If a Chevelle is just a little too ordinary for you, perhaps this Monte Carlo is a better choice.
As Chevy's big luxury cruiser, the Monte Carlo looks ideal in more subtle finishes and the copper-colored paint is both period correct and quite fashionable today. The bodywork and paint were done a few years ago and it still presents well with a great shine and only minor signs of age and use. It shines up beautifully, letting the clean Monte Carlo shape speak for itself and overall the car has a very cohesive look that befits its stature at the top of the Chevrolet hierarchy. The chiseled Monte Carlo look was pretty sophisticated for 1970, with a notable lack of ornamentation and muscular-looking quarters that made this personal luxury coupe look anything but tame. Chrome is very good, the stainless has been well maintained, the bumpers are probably new, and the fresh vinyl top provides great contrast and a hint of formality to the big coupe.
The saddle tan bucket seat interior is extremely clean, with a nice mixture of original and restored pieces. The seat covers and carpets are surely recent additions, and items like the door panels and headliner are in very good condition for their age. You'll also note that this car carries the optional factory A/C (ice cold!) and a center console, and all that burled walnut (who cares if it's fake?) gives the interior an upscale look. Modern additions include an AM/FM/cassette stereo radio, making it a car that you can drive anywhere without a second thought. The horseshoe shifter is perhaps the coolest gear selector ever and the wrap-around dash makes this big car feel very sporty from behind the wheel. One of the virtues of a full-sized car is the giant trunk, which carries a nicely fitted mat mat and a full-sized spare with jack.
The original, numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 still lives under the hood and it's a great complement to the Monte Carlo's sporting image. With a smooth idle and big torque, it moves the Monte Carlo effortlessly with a fantastic muscle car soundtrack from the mellow-sounding dual exhaust. The engine bay is neat and tidy, with Chevy Orange paint, a correct air cleaner, and an Edelbrock carburetor and intake manifold to add a few horsepower. A recent tune-up with a fresh ignition system means that it starts easily and runs great, but it doesn't stray too far from the original setup. The A/C has been set up for R134a refrigerant, and power steering and brakes are, of course, standard equipment. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission shifts like it should and feeds a sturdy 12-bolt rear end with highway-friendly gears inside. Proper Rally wheels and fat white-letter radials complete the look that neatly blends performance and luxury in one package.
The day of the Monte Carlo can't be far off because cars this cool can't stay this affordable forever. Take advantage of this opportunity before another one slips by. Call today!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
