Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS 305 V8 1984

General description : A 1984 Chevrolet Monte Carlo like this is truly an interesting vehicle. It's one of the sleekest and sportiest versions of a classic personal coupe, and an early example like this one has some unique features that will always keep it a standout classic.
This is a pivotal year for the Monte Carlo. The SS just returned the previous year, and the color combo you're looking at would not continue after 1984. This is particularly important as you start to see how well coordinated the packaging is inside and out on this car. In fact, this is even believed to be the original application of the blue metallic paint. It wears its age, but it does it with pride. So you can tell there has been a lot of care that has gone into this coupe. Even the wraparound blue striping and decals with built-in fade look factory and mostly complete. That's particularly important because the overall package this well preserved is a big "wow" factor. The sporty urethane chin spoiler and unique nose give the SS its NASCAR-inspired attitude and a subtle deck lid spoiler reinforces that it's a grown-up hot rod, not a boy racer. There's no room for chrome with body-colored bumpers and trim, which gives it a modern and sporty overall appearance. But because this is a true American classic, they did have to leave room for brightwork, and now that comes from the updated Rally wheel package.
1984 was the only year for the all-blue interior. The car is coming from an owner who cared for it for years, and so this special interior is well presented and preserved. This is Chevy's personal luxury car, and so while there are two wide rows of bench seats, the front fold-down armrest means you always have a nice level of individual comfort. The driver grabs a sporty dual spoke steering wheel and beyond that is a round full gauge panel, including tach. Other features of this premium performance car include power windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt steering column, electric rear defogger, and even the original AM/FM/cassette stereo is there for display. This is an original factory air conditioning car, and so it may need servicing to get to your ideal level of cold.
On a Monte Carlo this original so far, it's great to see such an honest engine bay that's correct right down to factory decals. And we believed this to be the original powerhouse. The High Output 305 cubic-inch small block V8 with four-barrel carburetor under the hood is a strong runner with plenty of old-school muscle car torque. It fires up and runs nicely...In fact, the consignor relied on this coupe for years. The suspension is tuned to be entertaining but you can still feel this car's luxury coupe origins underneath, so it's great for road trips. It even has power steering, a three-speed automatic transmission, and power brakes with front discs to keep you comfortably in control.
The sale comes complete with great paperwork, including the original window sticker, factory buildsheet, owner's manual, service manuals, and maintenance records. This is a distinct way to own and enjoy the new class of classics. Call today!!!

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
