Chevrolet Nova 350 V8 1974

General description : 1974 Chevrolet Nova Although the 1974 Nova had some of the same stylings as the previous years there were some changes starting in 1973 so the 73s and 74s are considered their own generation.  In addition to larger bumpers due to government mandates they received a new grill style as well in board headlights.  Another big feature was the introduction of the hatchback body style.  The cool 74 you see here is painted in an Atomic Orange paint with dual Black racing stripes.  The car rides on a set of aftermarket Jegs wheels Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires.  The car is powered by a 383 V8 stroker motor fitted with chrome Chevrolet valve covers, aftermarket heads, a chrome alternator, chrome water pump, and 4 barrel carburetor.  The car runs well and sounds good.  The transmission is a Turbo 350 automatic that moves through the gears nicely.  The interior is done in Black and features bench seats with lap belts in back and lap/shoulder belts up front.  The dash utilizes a lot of the original components but a column mounted Bosch tachometer and Summit Racing Oil/Water/Volt gauges have been added.  It also has an aftermarket stereo system with a speaker box mounted behind the seat.  This car has been SOLD! About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
