Description : Gateway Classic Cars Houston Showroom is excited to present one very nasty Electron Blue 1972 Chevrolet Nova. This bad boy comes fully tricked out for your next Cruisin' the Coast or Route 66 adventure! The Electron Blue paint gleams in the sunlight, the KinDigit flush door handles add a classy bit of chrome to the doors, flush-fit Fesler front and rear glass add some streamlining, LED headlights brighten up your nights, and the 6-inch steel cowl hood hints at what kind of beast is hiding under the hood. This Nova may appear to be eye candy, but it runs as good as it looks! Under the hood is a cammed-up 6.2L LS3, which is packed with extra goodies! For starters, how about a 2.9L Whipple supercharger, which is almost like adding an additional 177 cubic inches of displacement! A big Holley 130GPH electric fuel pump supplies the go juice to the LS3, which is kept cool by a massive aluminum radiator. Augmenting the radiator is a 16-inch Spal fan that pulls 3000CFM worth of air through it, so you won't have to worry about the LS heating up when you're stuck in stop and go traffic! The beefy LS3 also a Holley LS deep sump oil pan and is sporting ceramic coated Doug's long tube headers that feed into a custom dual exhaust setup (with cutouts). Backing the potent engine is a high performance Tremec 6060 (6-speed manual) transmission, which is fully capable of handling the over 590 rear wheel horsepower that this ride is putting down. Gear changes are very quick, thanks to its short throw shifter. A McLeod clutch with Wilwood hydraulic assist grabs the flywheel, assuring slip-free launches and shifts. The chassis and suspension have also been engineered: this Nova features welded full-length subframe connectors, tubular control arms, multilink rear setup, polyurethane bushings, and adjustable coilover shocks at each corner. The 12-bolt Strange rear end is equipped with a 3.42:1 ring & pinion, plus a limited slip differential and 35-spline Strange axles; so, you know that this beast has been built with a lot of thought put into what this car was intended for. Red powder-coated multi-piston Wilwood calipers and multi-piece rotors handle the braking, and they will haul this beast down from speed quickly and without drama. Super sticky performance radials wrap the iForged aluminum wheels, with an extra-meaty set of drag radials out back (335mm section width). Inside, it features an upgraded interior, complete with cold-blowing Vintage Air, a Dakota Digital dash, a hidden Air/Fuel ratio gauge (in the ashtray), power leather bucket seats from a late model GTO, a custom center console with cupholders, Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit, Alpine KTA-30FW 4-channel amp, Alpine and Focal speakers, and 3-point front seatbelts. The window crank levers have been cleverly converted into power window lift switches, and a set of TMI door panels add some pizazz. The carpet and headliner are also in good shape; so, there's almost nothing left to be done to improve this slick 2nd gen Nova! Additional features on this sweet 1972 Nova include Air Conditioning, Aluminum Wheels, AM/FM/CD radio, Performance Radial Tires, Power Brakes, Power Front Seats, Power Steering, Power Windows, Seat Belts, and Vinyl Rear Bench Seat. If you're looking for a supercharged LS-swapped Nova with a 6-speed manual, you have found your dream car! Give our Houston showroom a call or send us an email, and we'll help you put this one in your collection!

About Chevrolet Nova
The Chevy Nova is a compact car that was produced by Chevrolet from 1962 to 1979, and again from 1985 to 1988. While it was not initially marketed as a muscle car, it was offered with a range of powerful engines that made it a popular choice among enthusiasts.

In particular, the Nova SS (Super Sport) was a high-performance version of the car that was equipped with a range of performance upgrades, including larger engines, heavy-duty suspension, and upgraded brakes. The most notable engine options included the 327 cubic inch V8 and the 396 cubic inch V8, both of which produced impressive horsepower figures.

The Nova SS was a popular choice for drag racing, and it became a symbol of the burgeoning muscle car scene in the 1960s. It was known for its simple and lightweight design, which made it a popular choice among racers looking to modify and tune their cars for maximum performance.

Today, the Chevy Nova is still a popular classic car, with enthusiasts drawn to its simple and stylish design, as well as its impressive performance capabilities. While it may not be as well-known as some of the more iconic muscle cars from the era, the Nova remains a significant part of American automotive history and a beloved classic among collectors and enthusiasts.
