Truly Outstanding 1937 Chevrolet GC 1/2 Ton Pickup
New to our Benicia showroom is this beautiful 1937 Chevrolet GC 1/2 Ton 2 Door Pickup with cream exterior paint and a brown vinyl interior.  You’ll find the factory original 216 cid “Blue Flame” six-cylinder engine under the hood along with the numbers-matching 3 speed manual transmission.  This outstanding show truck has been fully restored back to near-exact factory specifications.  It is in gorgeous, like-new quality throughout and it may be one of the most correct, highly impressive examples available on the open market today.
Painstakingly Restored Back to Exact Factory Specifications
You may remember hearing about the ’37 Chevy Pickup for the 10,000 mile road trip it was sent on back in the day with a thousand pounds of weight in the rear car.  Racecar driver Harry Hartz pulled out of Flint, Michigan in a brand new model and passed through Montana, Idaho, Washington and then all the way down to the US/Mexico border.  He then drove the Southern coast all the way to Florida and then up to Maine, before finally arriving in Flint two months later.  The result- 328 hours of total driving time averaging 20.74 MPG and less than a dollar total in repairs along the way.
The current owner of this 1937 Chevrolet GC 1/2 Ton Pickup acquired it back in 2014 shortly after it underwent a complete, frame-off nut and bolt restoration.  Every inch of this spectacular vehicle was smoothed back to perfection, completely restored and professionally assembled.  This rare find sat almost 100% original and required extensive TCL to return to the pickup you see before you today, with a total build cost far outmatching the current asking price.
Additionally, this 1937 Chevrolet GC 1/2 Ton Pickup comes exceedingly close to absolute perfection with only the slightest of blemishes in the exterior paint.  Otherwise, the body is flawless with amazing body lines, the interior could easily pass for new and the engine compartment is absolutely exceptional.  This pickup also starts easily and cruises down the road effortlessly.  While it certainly won’t set any land-speed records on 1937 technology, the overall smoothness of the ride is very impressive.
Almost 100% Original Example from Bumper to Bumper
Overall, this 1937 Chevrolet GC 1/2 Ton 2 Door Pickup is the find of the century for one lucky collector since you’ll probably never see a more impressive original example anywhere.  In fact, the asking price is likely too conservative since there’s nothing out there to even really compare it to- there’s simply no possible way that this one remains available for long.  It’s in true investment grade quality and you must see it in person to truly appreciate it.  For more information about this vehicle, visit our Benicia, California showroom, give us a call at 707-748-4000, or email us at Sales@SpecialtySales.com.  Be sure to mention Stock # B11470 as well.

About Chevrolet
Chevrolet aka Chevy, founded in 1911 by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant is the best selling and biggest brand by General Motors -mainly due to low pricing.

No wonder Chevy the "working man's car" has become such an iconic part of Americana in films and pop-culture.

When talking about Chevy one must not ignore Chevrolet small-block V8 the world's most produced engine that has been in production since 1955 and still going strong.

Surprisingly, "America's only sports car" Corvette was introduced under Chevrolet brand rather than its own. To us the most memorable Corvette has to be The second generation (C2) Corvette, Sting Ray.

To compete with VW Beatle Chevrolet introduced Corvair a compact automobile built in 1960–1969 It was the only American designed, mass-produced passenger car to feature a rear-mounted air-cooled engine. Corvair handling was deemed notoriously bad mainly due to Ralph Nader's Unsafe at Any Speed. Although, any handling issues were soon solved the reputation did stick.

With Pony / Muscle car mania taking over the Americans, following the introduction of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet came up with one of its most famous models Camaro. During the first year alone they managed to sell 220,906 Camaros.
