For sale in our Dallas showroom is this Immaculate 1976 Chevrolet Cosworth Vega. This Cosworth is #2843 of 3,508 manufactured between 1975 and 1976. The mirror black exterior finish is striking with the rare black/white sport cloth interior, cast aluminum wheels, full instrumentation, engine turned gold dash panel, front/rear anti-roll bars along with the Cosworth overhead twin cam engine with Bendix Electronic fuel injection sporting the stainless-steel header. Other options include the 5-speed gear box, 4.10 positraction rear axle, AM/FM 8 track player and rear speaker. Designed to be a racecar for the street, power steering and power brakes are not present to save weight, but clocking in at under 2,800lbs, you would never think to need them. Adding to the weight savings is the aluminum engine tricked out with all the goodies like fuel injection, forged aluminum pistons, and a forged steel crankshaft and rods. These are extremely overbuilt engines built for power and longevity. Cosworth #2843 has undergone an extensive body off restoration with no expense spared. Show board and large binder of receipts/documentation will be included in the sale. The Cosworth has been featured in magazines and has multiple show wins to include best of show at the National Cosworth Vega Owners Association’s (CVOA) annual concours.
