General description : We are proud to offer for sale at Gateway Classic Cars in our St. Louis showroom this unique and drop dead gorgeous 1962 Chrysler 300 Sport convertible. There were only 1,535 of them made in 1962 Painted in arrest me red over a red and black interior, a white power soft top and white wall tires. Power comes from a healthy 383 V8 big block and power transferred to the rear wheels via push button transmission. Power equipment includes an AM/FM radio, Power steering, Power brakes, Power seats, Power windows and a Power top. The restoration was completed in the early 2000's but still looks very fresh. During the restoration, seat belts were installed and an electric cooling fan with a three way switch located in the glove box. The current seller is believed to be the third owner and has owned the car since 200. The seller also has a complete photo history that captures its history and restoration. The 383 big block was rebuilt during the restoration and was also fitted with a four barrel carburetor in place of the original 2 barrel. Apart from artdeco(isque), airflow and airstream models, Chrysler's early years may lack lustre in design terms but not in technical.
