Description : Gateway Classic Cars of Dallas is excited to offer one sweet Datsun! This 1974 Datsun 260Z was sold new at Econo Datsun in Riverside, California, and has reportedly been driven fewer than 30 miles since being acquired by its current owner two and a half years ago. The car is finished in white over a black vinyl interior, and power comes from a 2.6-liter inline-six paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Modifications include Eibach lowering springs, KYB struts, 15? Rota wheels, and window tinting. This 260Z is offered with partial service records, and a clean Texas title in the owner's name.

The car is finished in White (904) paint, which was touched up and treated with a polymer gloss coat in 2016. Black stripes with 260Z scripts run along with the lower fenders and doors. Modifications include tinted windows and an override bar on the front bumper.

Gunmetal 15? Rota wheels with polished lips were mounted with Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires in 2016. The car rides on Eibach lowering springs and KYB struts that were installed along with a new brake booster and master cylinder 2000 miles ago.

The black interior features vinyl-upholstered bucket seats accented by wood-style door panel trim. The seats, dashboard, and clock were repaired in 2015. Equipment includes a period AM/FM/cassette stereo and an AC climate control system which is shown in operation here.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer as well as centrally-mounted readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and amperage. The five-digit odometer is said to show approximately 21k miles, actual mileage unknown.

The 2,565cc inline-six was rated at 162 horsepower at 5,600 rpm when new. Videos have been provided to show a cold start and the engine running. Service in the last five years included ignition work, replacement of the fuel lines and filter, and carburetor repairs in 2020 as well as replacement of the valve cover gasket.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. New outer tie rods, ball joints, and related bushings were installed at 19,032 miles.

Legend has it that the name "Datsun" was created when someone dropped a bunch of Scrabble tiles and thought, "Sure, that'll do!" But the real magic happened when Datsun revealed the Datsun 510 wagon. It was like Mary Poppins' bag, fitting more stuff than seemed humanly possible. This wagon was an enigma, a mystery, and America couldn't get enough.
