Fiat 124 Pininfarina Spider Azzura only 25792 Miles! 1984

General description : 1984 Fiat 124 Pinninfarina spider. When in the earl y 80’s Fiat stoped producing the very successful 124 Sport Spider, the Italian design house of Pininfarina decided to take over production. Pininfarina had originally designed the Spider from its inception in 1967. Pininfarina had never produced a car car before this and has never produced one since. So in this case we should not using the Fiat prefix but calling the car a Pininfarina Spider Europe or Azzurra if it was intended for the American market. Before it started production Pininfarina modified a number a smaller and larger items on the car to bring it completely up to modern day standards, with the wing mirror sited through the front quarter light windows being the most noticeable change. This 3-owner example was sourced from Pennsylvania America with a probable authentic 25,792 miles on the clock! This car has the famous 4-cylinder 2000cc engine producing approximately 105 Hp. It is a nice and healthy car with sound bodywork, correct shut lines and no rust. It has been resprayed in the past for cosmetic reasons and although neat it is not perfect. It has a lovely and completely original beige leather interior trim, tonneau and nice black hood. Mechanically it is in very good order, running and driving splendidly. It has the standard 5-speed gearbox, catalyst and lightweight alloy rims. An additional feature is the aircon. A particularly nice and well-maintained car. It has American papers but as it has already been imported there are no extra costs involved. Gallery Aaldering is Europe’s leading Classic Cars specialist since 1975! About Fiat
Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino (FIAT to you and I) was founded by Giovanni Agnelli in 1899. Their first car 3 ½ CV had a strong resembledence to contemporary Benz, only 25 examples were built. By 1910 Fiat had established itself as Italia's biggest car manufacturer and expanded to the US, where a new plant was built in Poughkeepsie, NY.

At that time Fiat cars were big and luxurious barges for the wealthy or barking mad racing cars like S76 , The beast of Turin, with its 290HP 28.5-liter, four-cylinder engine.

However, today Fiat is better reknown for its small symphatic peoples carriers, Topolino, 500 "Cinquecento" and 600.

What ever your favorite Fiat is, you'll find it for sale here at www.classicdigest.com
