Ford Customline 302 V8 1953

General description : NICELY UPGRADED CUSTOMLINE, 302 V8, AUTO, COLD R134AC, MUSTANG II, PS, PB W/DISC

This 1953 Ford Customline has been upgraded with a performance V8, great paint, updated suspension, and an A/C interior. So you can read on for all the details, but you already know this is a terrific street machine.
This one absolutely lives up to the "custom" part of the Customline name. The Glacier Blue paint is a great 1950s-style color, but the gloss it radiates in the sunshine tells you this is a newer professional application. Plus, the emblems in the front and rear as well as the door handles are all accented by custom navy and gray pinstriping. And items like the blue-dot headlights and Rocket alloy wheels are great indications of a full custom build. And we know exactly why someone spent the time and money making this one look so good. These Fords have an instant appeal with a bright front end that has both a wraparound bumper and grille. Plus, there's plenty of jet-inspired elements like the hood ornament, rear fender trim, and afterburner-style taillights. So this was already a highly stylized package before the custom investment.
Inside is a great mix of vintage and new worlds. The gray cloth seat, coordinating door panels, and carpeting all look period-correct, but they have the fresh feeling of a recent investment. And the classic dual-spoke steering wheel with Ford family crest is a great vintage element. But beyond that is a tilt steering column and a full set of Dolphin gauges. Plus, you get great pieces that people never heard of in the '50s, like cup holders and an AM/FM/cassette stereo. And to keep you feeling as cool as you look in this Ford, there's also modern R134a air conditioning.
It's nice to see a Ford get upgraded in the engine bay while still keeping the power in the blue oval family. In fact, its cobalt blue presentation will really draw a crowd. This is 302 cubic-inch roller motor that's been given plenty of nice features, including an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and headers that feed a rumbling dual exhaust. But more than just a great performance V8, take some time to look over this full build. You'll see a upgraded Mustang II-style independent front suspension and front disc brakes. Out on the road, the three-speed automatic transmission and power steering keep this classic comfortable. You even have an aluminum radiator with electric fans to keep the whole package cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping.
There's less than 6k miles on the whole build, and the build receipts will prove just how much work went into this very custom Ford Customline. So you know you can't delay on this well-priced classic, or else it might be gone. Call today!!!

About Ford
Ford, founded in 1902, has arguably changed the history of automotive world more than any other car manufacturer by introducing the first people's car Model T in 1908. They had produced more than 15 million cars by the end of the production in 1927, by which T had become obsolete.

Ford launched the first low priced V8 engine powered car in 1932. 1932 V8 was an instant hit with superior handling and performance to many far more expansive cars of the day. No wonder 32 V8 Ford has become such a favourite among hot rodders around the world with 32 Deuce coupe as their icon.

During the war Ford completely shut down civilian vehicle production to dedicate all its resources to the Allied war efforts (1942-45) They used to build B-24 bombers, aircraft engines, jeeps, M-4 tanks, military trucks and Bren-gun carriers and more than 30,000 super-charged Rolls Royce Merlin V-12 engines for Mosquito and Lancaster bombers as well as P-51 Mustang fighters. After the war Ford cars in the USA got bigger and flashier along with their competitors. In the 60's Ford was back in the forefront again when introducing their commercial hit Mustang in 1964. Mustang was so popular the competition had to follow Ford's example and the ponycar phenomenon took over the US. Over the years the ponies grew some muscles until the oil crisis kill finally killed them off.

In the sixties Ford rushed into international motor sports scene with a fury. After unsuccessful Ferrari takeover, when Enzo Ferrari had cut the deal off with Henry Ford II making the latter absolutely boil with fury, Ford turned to Lola in UK to produce a Ferrari beating long distance racer after. The collaboration between Ford and Lola created the mighty Ford GT40 that absolutely beat Ferrari in Le Mans 24 numerous times.

In Europe, Ford introduced some of the most epic race and rally cars of the 60's based on humble family sedans; Cortina GT, Lotus Cortina, Escort Twin Cam, and Escort 1600RS with the iconic Cosworth BDA engines.

Today classic Fords are extremely popular with enthusiasts and a great selection of classic Fords can be found for sale at www.ClassicDigest.com
